Samuel Pack Elliott (born August 9, 1944) is an American actor. He is the recipient of several accolades, including a Screen Actors Guild Award and a National Board of Review Award.
He has been nominated for an Academy Award, two Golden Globe Awards, and two Emmy Awards. Elliott was cast in the musical drama A Star Is Born (2018), for which he was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor and the corresponding prizes at the Critics' Choice Movie Awards, Screen Actors Guild Awards. He also won a National Board of Review Award. Elliott starred as Shea Brennan in the American drama miniseries 1883 (2021–2022), for which he won the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Miniseries or Television Movie.
Elliott is known for his distinctive lanky physique, full mustache, and deep, sonorous voice. It started with one cry.

A single dog, trapped inside a tiny cage… shaking, helpless. He opened that cage—and in that moment, his life changed forever.

But saving one wasn’t enough.

Every time he freed a dog, another pair of frightened eyes seemed to ask him not to stop. And he didn’t. ❤️

He used every rupee he had to pull dogs out of brutal meat markets—some so thin their ribs showed, some too weak to even stand, all of them trembling with fear.

He traveled for hours, negotiated with traders, and walked into places most people would never even consider entering. Some nights, he slept outside beside the dogs, simply because he had nowhere else to take them.

He never looked for attention.
He never asked for help.
All he wanted… was for them to feel safe again.

For many of us, dogs are family. They share our beds, join us on hikes, and fill our lives with love. But to others, these loyal animals are treated as nothing more than tools for a cruel “blood sport.” Hawaii’s updated penal code (HRS § 711-1109.3) is taking a firm stand against this brutality.

THE REALITY OF THE LAW:
❌ Organizers: Face up to 10 YEARS in prison and fines reaching $25,000 for breeding or training dogs to fight.
❌ Spectators: Even attending a fight is a Class C felony—punishable by up to 5 YEARS in prison and a $10,000 fine.
❌ Long-Term Consequences: Offenders may be permanently banned from owning animals.

In 2026, authorities are also allowed to act on “paraphernalia evidence.” That means possessing equipment linked to dogfighting can lead to charges—even before a fight takes place. This shift focuses on prevention, protection, and justice for animals who cannot speak for themselves. 🐶⚖️

Every dog deserves a life filled with comfort, care, and safety—not chains and suffering. Sharing this message isn’t just raising awareness—it’s helping protect vulnerable animals and informing others.

HOW YOU CAN HELP:
