Follow along while I learn about gardening, animal raising, food preservation, and all the hiccups along the way. I'm Tina and along with my husband and our two boys, we are finding our path together. A few years ago we left our suburban home in southern Michigan. footage. We craved simplicity and sustainability. A slow-paced and quiet place to raise our children. Our dream is slowly coming true as we create our small farm in the middle of nowhere.

I had to take an impromptu trip to Florida Friday afternoon. Everything ended up being okay, so I was able to enjoy the sunshine. I ended up flying home to Michigan - and the cold - today.

We got a bunch of snow over night. The geese love snow and I love watching their reaction when they first see it. They love digging in it and running through it. They’re not as graceful though so it’s quite entertaining 😂. When it’s deep enough, they even try swimming.
