Year 4 begins tomorrow. Never forget where it started and all the long hours that have been put in. While perfection doesn't exist it is what we strive to achieve. We are ready to roll for the early season starting tomorrow. Please remind all of your hunting friends about our services and let us know if we can help in anyway. Going to be a busy 4 months but we can't wait to see what the future has in store for us.

For our new followers here is some information about Carolina Crosshairs Thermal Services and Virginia Deer Recovery. Please feel free to share and tag others. Word of mouth is our greatest form of advertisement.

- We are located in Rockingham County NC near the NC and VA line.
- We have been in business since 2023 and conducted over 100 flight missions in 2025.
- Our results are driven by hundreds of flight hours each year.
- We specialize in Deer Recovery for hunters and animal rescue for pet owners and farmers.
- We have multiple drones that are the best in the industry and allow us to utilize the right equipment for each specific flight.
- While we have the best equipment, equipment alone does not guarantee results. Experience with the best equipment matters.
- WE ONLY FLY IN THE RIGHT THERMAL CONDITIONS, this is capitalized for a reason. We are not in the taking your money business like a lot of drone companies out there. We will not fly in conditions that reduce your odds of finding your animal. Sun is the worst ingredient for thermal drone searches so we only fly at night or the first couple hours of daylight unless there are perfect fully overcast conditions. If a drone pilot recommends flying in sunny conditions you should end communication there.
- A normal flight is around 2 hours, during this time we search between 100-600 acres depending on conditions and terrain.
-We are fully licensed and insured.
- Our pricing was set in 2023 and has not changed. We put a lot of time in to ensure we are priced fair and competitive in a growing market. If pilots are substantially cheaper we encourage you to ask for FAA 107 licensing and liability insurance information from these pilots. With new pilots popping up please make sure you do your research when hiring a company to help.
- We have strong relationships with other pilots in NC and VA and can get you in touch with the right people if we are unavailable.
- We do not accept payment up front, this is the biggest red flag for companies. We will request payment at the conclusion of the flight when the job is complete. We were built on trust and professionalism and this is the way we conduct our business.

Anyone wanting preseason scouting flights performed let us know. We will be conducting these in late August. We will stop doing these one week before the season. This is not a herd analysis survey but simply flying your property and locating what you have around that day.

Was able to finish up a video project this month for a local company for a future home site. Anyone local needing some forestry mulching or land clearing give Big Country Mulching a shout. We are in the slow season for deer currently so now is a great time for some home photography or videography projects.
