I understand how precious our animals are to us...I call my 3 year old Boxer & 4 year old American Staffordshire Terrier my "fur babies," therefore, I know the importance of respect and responsibility. Growing up on ranches my whole life, I was raised around farm dogs and just about every farm animal you can think of. I showed large animals in 4-H throughout high school, and my first paying job at
16 years old landed me working as a Kennel Worker at a vet clinic until I graduated high school. There I was responsible for all sizes and breeds of dogs; cleaning their kennels, taking them for walks, and feeding them. From there my passion and thirst to understand and learn more about animals only grew. I completed a year of Veterinarian Technician School, and then graduated with my B.S. in Fisheries & Wildlife specializing in animal behavior. I completed internships at a Wildlife Rehabilitation Center as well as the African Department at the Oregon Zoo where I job shadowed and worked side by side with all the zookeepers. From there I worked several jobs as a Wildlife Technician as well as working at a Dog Boarding Facility for a summer. I have raised 2 of my own puppies, and have a handful of experience working around large and bully breeds. I have also house-sat for a handful of friends and family throughout my past. I own my own Dog Bakery business and work from home making my own schedule; so am available to be at your home with your pet(s) without you having to worry about someone being gone all day. I can dedicate the majority of all my time to stay at your house so you can have a stress free time away. I have quite a handful of experience with medication administration and understanding dog behavior on what is normal verses what is not. I pay very close attention to detail and give your pet the attention they not only need, but deserve while you are away! I have studied animal nutrition and diseases as well, and am comfortable walking or taking care of dogs with specific diseases or disorders. I know basic canine first aid and have a mobile vehicle (Subaru Forester) with a large back for any breed in case of transport needed in an emergency or if you would like your dog to be taken to the park, groomers, etc. Something I truly bring to the table with my services is my honesty and dedication. I love taking pictures of your pet(s) and sharing them with you (of course only if you want!), taking detailed notes on their behavior and eating patterns, basically I love to communicate and make you feel at most ease while I am with your pet and/or in your home. I have my Sterilization Technician certification as well, therefore am very clean and organized, and offer cleaning services as well. If you need someone to come check on your pet while you're gone, or to stay at your home, or just drop in and dog walk please do not hesitate to contact me! I also am willing to water plants & pick up your mail while you're gone, and keep an eye on your home making sure all is safe while you are away. I live in Crooked River Ranch, but am very flexible on commuting outside Terrebonne area. I look forward to hearing from you!
