Sundance Trail Guest Ranch: A Colorado Dude Ranch

Sundance Trail Guest Ranch: A Colorado Dude Ranch Colorado's smallest guest ranch — corporate retreats, family reunions & full-ranch buyouts. Come tired. Leave human again. We're a ranch, not a resort.

Sundance Trail Ranch is Colorado's smallest guest ranch — 24 guests on 138 acres bordering Roosevelt National Forest, 45 minutes from Fort Collins. Horses, mountains, campfires, real food, and the space to put the phone down and reconnect — to the people you love, to nature, and to what matters. And there's more to a week than riding — rock climbing on our own peak, whitewater rafting, archery, th

e shooting range, axe throwing, disc golf, golf and hiking by day; cowboy singing, line dancing, cowboy poetry and forest picnics by night. Book out the whole place for a corporate retreat, a milestone family reunion, or a full-ranch buyout — groups of 8 to 24, every detail handled. Booking now for 2026 and 2027.

There's no clever way to say this. You get on a horse in the morning, you ride out into the forest for a few hours, you come back and eat, you do it again. Nothing else happens. That's what people come back for. 🫶

Few spots left in September and October — comment SEPTEMBER and I'll send you the dates, or call (970) 224-1222.

Keep it Wild and Warm.

And the only thing asking anything of you is the horse.

No signal, no agenda, nobody needing a quick fie minutes.

Tag someone who'd love that and would never book it themselves. 🫠

Honestly the best part of this place is the moment your phone stops working and you just... stop.

No notifications. No "what's next." just you and the horse figuring it out. ☺

Nobody books a week here to watch someone rope.

Then they're standing at the fence for forty minutes, and it's the bit they talk about at dinner.

, making it look like nothing. 🔥

The workday ended two hours ago. This is what the crew does with their free time.

Ettore's riding Little Joe, who has the slowest walk in the string and everybody knows it. So he offers Heather and Ali a head start. Very generous of him.

What Joe doesn't advertise is that once he decides to go, nothing on this ranch catches him.

They found out.

Sound on for the moment he lets him loose. 🔊

Summer has a funny way of disappearing before we've really lived it.

If you've been saying, "We should do something together before school starts," this is your sign.

Spend a week riding horses through the mountains, laughing around the campfire, eating meals you didn't have to cook, and making the kind of memories your family will still be talking about years from now.

You'll finally have the chance to slow down, breathe, and simply enjoy being together.

We've still got a few August spots available. With only 24 guests on the ranch each week, they won't be around for long.

DM "August" and we'll send you everything you need to know.

The part that gets us every summer is the second morning.

By then everyone's found their horse, the phones have quietly disappeared, and people who arrived wound-up are just... standing around the barn in no hurry to be anywhere.

That's the week, really. A horse that's yours. Trails through Roosevelt Forest with no one else on them. Meals you didn't cook. A fiddle after dinner. 🤎

We only take 24 of you, so it stays like this. A bit of August left if you want in?

Comment AUGUST and we'll tell you what's open, or call (970) 224-1222. ☺️

The Scott family just wrapped a half-week at the ranch — horseback rides through Roosevelt National Forest, axe throwing, and the kind of together-time that doesn't happen at home.

Thank you for sharing the joy, 📸 — y'all are welcome back anytime 🫶
