Happy Dental Awareness Month! 🐈‍⬛🐕🌟
February is National Dental Awareness Month. About 80% of dogs and 70% of cats develop some sort of dental disease by the age of 3!
Bad breath? Painful eating or pawing at face? Dental check-ups are important as they can help catch any early problems starting in your pets mouth.
Routine dental cleanings can also provide insight into what is going on under the gum line. These procedures do require anesthesia; this link will give you more info on why!

Other tips to keep up with dental health at home would be to find VOHC approved dental products in stores or online! Products like proper toothpaste and dental chews could be a great starting point.

🌟 The New Year is just around the corner! 🌟 As a reminder, some of our furry family members can have a tough time through the fun celebrations like fireworks. Some ways to prepare; be sure outside gates and doors are secure, create a comforting spot indoors with white noise/soft music if an option, offer food puzzles, exercise beforehand to alleviate some stress, as well as pet compression vests. Be sure to contact your vet ahead of time if medication is needed, so we can keep everyone safe during the holiday season! 🎆
