✨ Quick Safety Tip: Always double-check that your gate, latch, or door has fully closed behind you.
Pets are stealthier than we think when they’re excited to explore!

🐱 Tip: Leave your cat’s carrier out at home — with a soft blanket and a few treats inside — so it becomes a cozy, familiar place instead of a ‘scary box.’

Familiar smells = calmer vet visits 💛

Say hello to Frank, our resident office cat and unofficial clinic supervisor. He takes his role very seriously: greeting everyone, inspecting everyone and everything, and being just a little too helpful at all times.

Frank is also on a special diet — and he’ll make sure to tell you exactly how much he looooves it. 😼

If you spot him during your visit, feel free to say hi (he loves the attention, even without treats).

Especially the things your humans just cleaned.

Frank takes his job as office inspector very seriously.

Big smiles for good health (and Kong peanut butter)! 🐶✨

Routine wellness visits help us keep pets happy and healthy year-round.
Thanks to Charlie for being such a superstar at their appointment today!

Charlie let me know how disappointed he was that I did not give him all of the peanut butter.

🚨 Important Public Health Notice 🚨
Two bats in Shasta County have recently tested positive for rabies. This is a serious reminder to stay vigilant and protect yourself, your family, and your pets.

🦇 What you need to know:
• Rabies can infect mammals — including bats, other wildlife, pets, and humans.
• You may not see obvious signs of a sick bat — yet it could still be infectious.
• If you find a bat indoors, see one acting unusually, or suspect contact with a person or pet — it’s time to act.
• Do not touch any bat with bare hands. If safe, cover it with a box or bucket and contact local animal regulation services.
• Make sure your pets’ rabies vaccinations are up to date — this is the best way to keep them (and your family) safe.

📞 If your pet’s rabies vaccine isn’t current, give us a call to schedule their appointment today.
✅ Protecting your pet protects everyone.
