One of the most common things I hear:
“My dog is aggressive on leash.”
But when we actually dig into it… most of the time it’s not true aggression—it’s leash reactivity.
That looks like:
Barking and lunging at other dogs
Getting overwhelmed when people approach
Losing focus the second there’s pressure or stimulation
And here’s the truth most people don’t hear:
👉 Avoiding the problem doesn’t fix it
👉 Comforting the dog in that moment can actually reinforce it
👉 And hoping they “grow out of it” almost never works
What these dogs really need is clarity and leadership.
That’s where I come in.
I work dogs through:
✔️ Structured obedience (heel, place, recall)
✔️ Controlled exposure to triggers
✔️ Clear communication so the dog understands what’s expected
✔️ Advocacy—making sure your dog doesn’t feel like they have to handle everything themselves
When you do it right, you don’t just stop the reaction…
You change how the dog feels in those situations.
That’s the difference.
If your walks are stressful or unpredictable right now, it doesn’t have to stay that way.
Shoot me a message and let’s talk about your dog.
