Hank and Honey the 14 week old miniature poodles are here to stay with us for the next two weeks for a board and train.

Our biggest focus with these two will be potty training! We’ll be establishing a consistent feeding and potty schedule, building a solid daily routine, and laying the foundation for long-term success at home.

Along the way, we’ll also be working on confidence building, basic obedience, and everyday manners to help these two grow into happy, confident, well-rounded pups!

Lots of learning and growing ahead for these sweet siblings! 🐾

Gunnar is a 3.5 year old lab currently enrolled in our behavior modification training program.

Gunnar struggles with leash frustration and reactivity toward other dogs, bicycles, and other moving distractions. He also has a history of overexcitement, difficulty regulating his arousal, and frustration when separated from his owners.

Our focus so far:

* Loose leash walking & owner engagement
* LAT (Look at That)
* Counterconditioning & systematic desensitization

Our goal isn’t just to reduce Gunnar’s reactions, but to change his emotional response to triggers and build confidence and communication with his owners.

Gunnar and his owners have been putting in some great work so far!

Sailor the 5 year old goldendoodle is currently enrolled in our behavior modification program for resource guarding toys, and food towards other dogs.

We’ve been incorporating counterconditioning, desensitization, and the “I Come in Peace” protocol to help build positive associations and confidence around other dogs. We’re also introducing muzzle conditioning as an added safety measure when practicing in environments with other dogs.

Sailor has already made some awesome progress in just a few sessions, and were excited to see her continue to grow! 🤍

🍂🐾 Fall into better manners with Southpaw Dog Training! 🐾🍁

We still have a few Board and Train openings available for the remainder of the year!

🐾 October 19th/20th: Last-minute opening available!

🐾 November 16th: One of our two puppy spots has officially been filled! We have one remaining opening for a puppy.

🐾 December: Currently accepting dogs of all breeds and ages, with several openings available!

Whether you’re working through puppy behaviors, building a solid foundation of obedience, or addressing more challenging behaviors, our programs are tailored to each dog’s individual needs.

Nova the 5 month old Aussiedoodle is here to stay with us for the next month to work on obedience and manners. Nova’s parents travel a lot and would love to get Nova used to traveling and public etiquette so she can go everywhere with mom and dad. 🥰

We will be taking lots of field trips while she is here to stay with us along with working on her manners and problem behaviors like jumping and nibbling. We can’t wait to see her confidence grow and help her grow into a well mannered young adult! 🩷🌸
