UPDATE-Hazel has pending rescue!

Hazel is an extremely sweet girl who has done fantastic with all shelter staff and did great for her canine test. Hazel walks good on a leash and knows how to sit with a treat! Hazel has never met a stranger, and she has quickly become a staff favorite. Please consider saving this sweet girl - she deserves a second chance!

Meet Mike and Sully!

Sadly, Mike and Sully were brought in by an Animal Control Officer as strays and were never reclaimed.

Sully is an estimated 5-year-old male chihuahua mix weighing in at 8.8lbs. Upon intake it was noted that Sully was experiencing severe hair loss and flakey skin. This is most likely due to a flea infestation that was found to be present on both Sully and Mike. Sully is completely missing hair from his back end, multiple areas on all 4 legs, around the eyes, down the tail, and on and around the ears. It was also noted that Sully has multiple scabs on and around his ears and appears to have a hardened hematoma in the right pinna. Sully's teeth have moderate tartar on the premolars and molars. Sully also has multiple broken and/or missing bottom incisors. Sully has overgrown nails. Sully does have a veterinary appointment scheduled for 06/22/2026. His results will be updated on our page once received.
Sully is a fun, spunky little guy who is absolutely full of life. He is energetic and overall, very happy considering his condition. Sully is current on his Bordetella, Distemper, Rabies, has been dewormed, and received a Capstar. Sully tested NEGATIVE for heartworms.

Mike is an estimated 3-year-old male chihuahua mix weighing in at 8.4lbs. Upon intake it was noted that Mike has missing fur on his ears, his tail, and around his eyes. Sparce patches of fur can also be noticed around his ears, the underarm area, on the chest, and in a few areas on the legs. Mike also has overgrown nails and moderate tartar on the teeth.
Mike has such a bright and fun personality. This boy will happily do anything as long as it is by your side! Mike is current on his Bordetella, Distemper, Rabies, has been dewormed, and received a Capstar. Mike tested NEGATIVE for heartworms.

Please help find Mike and Sully rescue - they deserve a second chance!

Due to shelter capacity, Mike and Sully have been given an EOH of 06/30/2026.

Update- 6.11.26- Rescued by Kora's Rescue Ranch!

Meet Koda!

Koda is a precious and petite female blue heeler who is desperately in need of rescue! Koda is a 5-year-old blue heeler weighing in at exactly 29lbs. Sadly, Koda was an owner surrender. Koda's previous owner explained they were moving and were no longer able to support her.

Upon intake, it was noted that Koda was suffering from severe hair loss and skin irritation. Due to the condition of the animal, she was sent to the veterinarian on 06/03/2026. During Koda's exam, it was noted that her lungs and heart sound normal and she tested negative for heartworms. Koda is mild debris in both ears and mild tartar build-up on the teeth. A pea size mammary mass was found in the right abdominal gland, likely a mammary tumor.

Regarding skin/hair, the veterinary report states "nearly all hair is missing from her ribs to tail and on her limbs. Skin is thickened (lichenification) and hyperpigmented. We did a skin scrape and skin cytology checking for bacteria and yeast."

Final assessment: "We did not find evidence of skin mites, but they are not completely ruled out. Cytology revealed many cocci bacteria and yeast, a few rod bacteria. I will dispense 250mg Cephalexin antibiotic to use 1, twice daily. Also, Ketaconazole to treat yeast. The Simparica Trio HW protection also provides monthly flea/tick control and will treat skin mites if present."

Koda has received her Bordetella, Distemper, and Rabies vaccine. Koda has been dewormed and tested negative for heartworms. Koda has also received Simparica Trio flea and tick prevention, Ketaconazole anti-fungal, and Cephalexin antibiotic to assist with skin treatment.

Koda did fantastic for both her canine and feline test and has been friendly and loving with staff. Koda has a beautiful personality and is a very sweet girl. Koda walks good on a leash and loves to receive treats and all the pets she can get!

Please help save Koda - our shelter is full!

Meet Layla!

Layla is beautiful female Doberman estimated to be 1yo and currently weighing in at 36lbs. Layla was brought in as a stray by one of our animal control officers and sadly was never reclaimed. Upon intake it was noted that Layla appeared to be very thin and had an excessive number of ticks on the face and ears. Layla has since received flea and tick treatment as well as a 5 day round of Panacur for deworming. Layla is beginning to gain weight and is starting to look like your typical healthy Doberman. Layla has received her Bordetella, Distemper, Rabies vaccines, has been dewormed, and tested NEGATIVE for heartworms.
