Every year, emergency rooms treat pets that have fallen or jumped from open windows, balconies, and decks, and these injuries can be severe. Fur coats, closer proximity to hot pavement, and limited ability to cool down mean pets overheat faster than we do. A good rule: if you wouldn't want to be outside right now, they shouldn't be either. If your pet seems overheated, don't wait it out at home. We're here for you!
