Hot weather, illness, or even excitement can cause dogs to lose more water than they take in — and dehydration can sneak up faster than you’d think.

Here are a few warning signs to watch for: 🚩 Dry nose or gums
🚩 Lethargy or low energy
🚩 Sunken eyes
🚩 Loss of skin elasticity (gently pinch their skin — does it bounce back?)
🚩 Heavy panting or refusal to drink

If you notice any of these, it’s time to offer fresh water and call your vet. Dehydration isn’t just uncomfortable — it can become dangerous. Staying alert could save your pup’s life. 💛
