I've had some people tell me that the Western Hognoses look so big in my pictures- but I'm here to show you that these hatchlings (and even adults) are much smaller than you think!

My smallest hatched out at just 4 grams- lighter than a nickel! Currently, they've all been putting on weight and are all healthy and happy awaiting their new homes. Here are some photos that show exactly how small these amazing little snakes are after hatching and as adults!

The last picture was a little difficult- but I managed to hold mom and dad in one hand! 🐍 🐍

Say hello to another one of my August 2024 hatchlings! This little Albino Arctic is eating perfectly off the tongs on F/T pinkies and is great to handle, with an amazingly cute and curious personality.

🌶 level 1/10- he's occasionally so excited about his food he just comes at you with an open mouth ready to go!

My spiciest first-round hatchling, "Marshmellow", 0.1 AAA Blond Phase refused to eat just about everything- but finally took her first unassisted meal thanks to an unexpected scenting medium- seaweed crisps! So glad she's finally taking food on her own- it only took 6 months!

Finally got a page set up! My name is Freya, and I've been owning reptiles for almost 10 years now. 2023-24 was the year I hatched my first two clutches from two of my Western Hognoses, 0.1 Mabel the AAA (Arctic Albino Anaconda) and 1.0 Walter (Albino Anaconda Blond Phase). I got 12 gorgeous hatchlings and 2 clutches, with many still available and eating frozen/thawed mice fantastically off of tongs. They are all well-started and ready to fly to their new homes any day! We're running out of warm days here in NC, so if you see any hatchlings that catch your eye- please send me a PM or check out my store Hog Heaven Herps on Morph Market!

My dream was always to breed reptiles- and I am truly proud to have learned how to breed and keep healthy, well adjusted hognoses (and more!) thanks to hours upon hours of research and the help of some amazing fellow keepers!
