Well, our little old man, Shamus, had to visit the emergency vet last night! He didn't want to eat yesterday and then started doing some odd yoga poses. When he vomited bile we made the call to go to take him in.

He has slightly elevated numbers for his pancreas, so went home with a special diet and some anti nausea meds.

Shamus slept well last night and is hopefully on the path to feeling good again!

His bill was $850, which wasn't bad for an emergency visit!

Update: rescue secured for this sweet boy!

This sweet Golden mix is still looking for rescue! He's a big boy in the 70 pound range, we guess! He may be two or three years old. He's a leaner!

He has been provided flea prevention and does appear to have some flea dermatitis going on. Otherwise he appears to be healthy.

This big boy is a great dog!

Please note: any negative comments will be removed from this post. This family has a number of challenges and has reached out for help. They did a great job keeping the dogs friendly, even if they are shy. Be kind and be a helper.

There are still four small dogs and a large Golden retriever mix in need of rescue! We were made aware of a family in need of help. If you are a rescue group that can take one or more dogs, please contact us on our page or via email, [email protected]!

As noted in previous post, none of the dogs have had vet care. We provided flea prevention for all dogs in the house. The answer to all your healthcare questions is, "your guess is as good as ours"!

There are one female and three males in need of rescue.

Two groups were able to take dogs! Thank you both!

We forgot to include the golden mix in previous post! He is still in need! Big boy in the 70 pound range, we guess! He may be two or three years old. He's a leaner! One group asked for a video with another dog. She was scared to death of our volunteer and ran under him and then snuggled up to him before we could get a leash on her for the video. He didn't notice. We did not test with the unaltered males, as we didn't have time.

Videos of dog are in comments. Little dog was scared to death on the leash. We did that for video to send to another group that needed on of the dog with another dog. He was very good.

We are seeking help with a Golden Retriever mix (possibly with Aussie). We work with dogs under 20 pounds and this dog is too large for our group.

This dog is SWEET! He's a leaner- as soon as he meets you he sidles up to lean in for affection. A very nice dog!

He is about 3 years old, about 70 pounds and has had zero vet care. Don't ask for info on vet care- we repeat- he has had NO vet care.

This dog is located in the Triangle. We are seeking a rescue that can take this nice guy on. He's a gentle soul who deserves a chance!

We are seeking rescue for a group of Chiweenies. They are in the Triangle area. We are full and have dogs waiting to enter our program. If you are with a rescue and are willing to help, please PM us or email at [email protected].

In the photos below in a blue box you will see info about the specific dog. M/F is male or female. The second number is possible age of the dog and third number is approximate weight of the dog. Two dogs are about 20 pounds. The other six are in the 8-12 or 15 pound range.

All are shy. We will note in caption which one is mom. She was quite friendly!

The dogs appear to have lived in the house on on a tie out their whole lives, so shy. They were very curious and to two big boys really wanted to meet us, but we're kept in the crate.
