The weather has finally changed and we will be seeing freezing temperatures for the week. Please be mindful to provide plenty of fresh water, breaking ice in outdoor water tubs will be necessary. Also, it's very common to see horses with sore feet. Our ground has been very wet this past month, which can cause a hoof to become softer. When the ground freezes, hard ground can be treacherous on a soft footed horse. Watch your horses, keep fresh water in front of them and keep their feet and legs clean and dry the best you can. My annual CE trip begins next Sunday. Looking forward to Sping, hope everyone is enjoying 2025 so far.

Had a great time this weekend at the Purina Farms annual CE program in St. Louis. Spent the weekend learning about new feeding protocols for all the great horses here at home. The highlight was the tour of the research farm. The care and diligence that the Purine research group puts into developing feeds is second to none.

Great news. I've been given permission to be able to cross the Longview Bridge during the closure this week for emergencies only.
