We’re searching for a dedicated, detail-oriented and experienced Barn Manager to join our team at our hunter/jumper show barn in Raeford, NC.

General Responsibilities Mon - Fri:
AM & PM feeding
Turnout and bringing in
Blanketing as needed
Stall cleaning
Barn cleaning
Afternoon check on horses
Night check 7 nights

Property overview:
20 stalls
Three wash stalls
2 Feed rooms, full bath, and two tack rooms
48 acres with 3 board fencing

The Ideal Candidate:
Has extensive horse care experience
Strong work ethic
Maintains an impeccably clean and organized barn
Is knowledgeable with horse wellness and signs of illness and injury
Has experience operating tractors and ATVs (a plus!)
Takes pride in providing top-tier care

Compensation includes:
Competitive pay
On-site housing
Possible board for one pasture horse
Vacation

"Cliffy" Clifton Castle GS is available for lease.

2014 16.2h Grey Trakehner gelding currently showing locally in the Low Children’s Hunters with a 13-year-old. He is a good mover who is well-schooled on the flat and gets a piece of the hack.

He is quiet, listens to the leg, and carries his own motor to the jumps without being strong. He is junior/amateur friendly, honest and forgiving, though he does best with a rider who can ride to a definite distance. He has extensive miles at 2'6" and 2'9" and requires minimal prep at the shows. He has a sweet, "in-your-pocket" personality and is a joy for anyone to handle on the ground.

Penny is the large pony every parent wants their child to ride. She is as sweet as she is beautiful, with a variety of "been there, done that" resume that is hard to find. She has been successful everywhere from local to IEA Nationals at Tryon (with top 5 finishes), proving she can handle the atmosphere of a big show while keeping her rider confident.
