We as humans, love to socialize. Our dogs are forced into a world that we expect them to socialize as well. When you walk into a restaurant or bar, do go greet every human AND be friends with them? ABSOLUTELY not, but that’s what we expect dogs to do! You take them to dog parks, allow them to greet every dog on leash AND want them to instantly be friends. This is a huge reason we have so much reactivity. If you aren’t advocating for your dog’s space, then they will- insert reactive and insecure dogs! Here’s some ideas to do instead!
