Quincy K-9 Connection - Animals in Need of Rescue, Quincy, IL When shelters ask for help, we respond by networking and transporting animals-at-risk to safe places. We primarily release to licensed rescues.

(DISCLAIMER) Quincy K9 Connection does not adopt to individuals like many shelters do. We post dogs/cats for different shelters with the goal of saving each from being euthanized. We will transport 20+ dogs/cats from Quincy every Saturday to licensed foster-home based rescue groups mostly around Chicago. (DISCLAIMER) We do not typically answer questions via Facebook. n attached to the animal's picture and you should receive a response fairly quickly. Our volunteers who maintain this page work full time and are busy caring for animals when not working. They do not have tons of time to monitor the page for questions.

Rolly is the kind of dog who clearly knows what it means to be someone's companion. He is a very friendly boy who loves to play, especially a good game of tug-of-war! He was even proudly showing off his newly won toy. He is house trained and walks well on leash, making it clear that he has been someone's dog before.

Maybelle is a sweet, friendly Terrier mix who has a lot going for her. She is house trained, walks well on leash, and has done well with other dogs. Despite an old leg injury, she is active, playful, and gets around without any trouble. She is ready for someone to give her the second chance she deserves.

Maybelle is a really nice dog who loves people and is ready to be part of a family again. She runs, jumps, plays, and doesn't let her old injury slow her down.

Harley is a young, playful girl who loves people and does great with other dogs. At only 7–8 months old, she has so much life ahead of her, but she is now sitting in a shelter at critical capacity and urgently needs a rescue commitment.

Today’s transport is packed with wagging tails, hopeful hearts, and a whole lot of furry passengers! 🐶❤️Each one of these dogs has a story that brought them to this moment, and today, that story is changing. They’re leaving one chapter behind and heading toward new opportunities, new people, and the safe, loving futures they deserve. 🏡✨

A huge THANK YOU to every person who played a part in getting these pups here. From the people who stepped up to rescue them, to the volunteers who helped prepare them, to the drivers putting miles behind them. This is what teamwork looks like. 🐾

Update: Safe! 🚨 LAST CALL! RESCUE NEEDED: TURTLE 🚨

Turtle is a little girl with a huge personality who has already been through more than any dog should. At just 3 years old and 30 pounds, this pocket-sized bulldog mix is finally ready to leave the shelter, but she needs a rescue to step forward now.

Turtle has been part of a cruelty case and has been on a cruelty hold. She is now vetted and needs to get out ASAP. Despite everything she has experienced, she remains incredibly friendly and loves meeting people.
