Quincy K-9 Connection - Animals in Need of Rescue, Quincy, IL When shelters ask for help, we respond by networking and transporting animals-at-risk to safe places. We primarily release to licensed rescues.

(DISCLAIMER) Quincy K9 Connection does not adopt to individuals like many shelters do. We post dogs/cats for different shelters with the goal of saving each from being euthanized. We will transport 20+ dogs/cats from Quincy every Saturday to licensed foster-home based rescue groups mostly around Chicago. (DISCLAIMER) We do not typically answer questions via Facebook. n attached to the animal's picture and you should receive a response fairly quickly. Our volunteers who maintain this page work full time and are busy caring for animals when not working. They do not have tons of time to monitor the page for questions.

We’re thrilled these lucky pups and kitties will be traveling this Saturday. Send them some love for safe journeys, and a HUGE thank you to our amazing volunteer drivers braving the cold and our rescue partners for giving these furbabies a second chance at life! 🐾💛

This well-mannered, super loving Boxer mix is just 7 months old and 28 pounds. She’s great with other dogs, adores people, and has the most precious personality. (CFN 25-27543)

Sweet Potato needs rescue urgently — she is in a high-capacity shelter with limited visibility in Quincy, IL.

This adorable 2-year-old Beagle/Terrier mix is about 60 pounds of pure sweetness. Ginger Snap loves people, loves cuddles, and absolutely loves wearing her sweaters — the cozier, the better!

She’s ready for a safe place and needs rescue urgently. This is her final call for rescue.

Meet Theo, a loving and incredibly handsome 7-month-old Boxer/Chesapeake Bay Retriever mix. This sweet boy has the cutest wavy hair running all the way down his back, weighs about 40 pounds, and is full of affection.

Theo is out of time and needs rescue immediately. He is in a critical-capacity shelter in Quincy, IL and would love to find his furever home NOW!

We have several beautiful cats that need rescue or a loving home! These cats are all loving, friendly, and ready to get out of the cold shelter and into a warm home.

🌼 Willow
Surrendered by her previous owner, Willow is a gorgeous 2-year-old calico (spayed) weighing 8 lbs. She’s gentle, sweet, and waiting for a fresh start.

🐈‍⬛ Millie
Found as a stray, but you’d never know it—this 1-year-old, 8-lb sweetheart loves people. She’s social, curious, and ready to be someone’s forever friend.

✨ Ellie - SAFE!
Ellie is a 1-year-old, 8-lb beauty with eyes that look right into your soul. She’s incredibly loving and came in with her buddy Gertrude.

💜 Gertrude - SAFE!
At 4 years old, this 7-lb girl is friendly, calm, and absolutely lovely. She and Ellie arrived together and would love a cozy home. However, they are not a bonded pair and can go to rescue separately.

Update: Safe! 🚨 URGENT — MILO THE HUSKY MUST BE SPOKEN FOR BY 11/25 🚨

Milo is a gentle, loving 2-year-old husky who has been nothing but sweet during his time at the shelter. He loves spending time outside, enjoys playing, and has done well with other dogs — even cats during a brief intro. He’s healthy, neutered, and ready for a fresh start.

Milo’s Details:

• Age: ~2 years
• Gender: Male (neutered)
• Weight: 55 lbs
• Color: Black/white
• Health: Healthy

Temperament:
• Very sweet and gentle
• Loves outdoor playtime and exploring
• Has done well with other dogs
• Did fine with cats during a brief introduction
• Large, friendly, adoptable boy

Milo’s time is running out. The shelter is at maximum capacity, and if more dogs come in, he is at risk. He needs a committed rescue this week to make transport. He must be spoken for by 11/25 to make this week's transport.
