The end of another basic obedience class. It was great seeing everyone improve their dog training skills and having the dogs look so confident on leash. Nice seeing people hanging out after the class.
Trying to get the dogs and owners all cooperating for a picture is tricky. Had a wonderful time teaching these great teams the art of agility. The classes are closing for the summer but I am looking forward to the Fall and having more fun with these teams.

Working on handler awareness skills in basic obedience class. Goal is to find out if your dog is focused while heeling on the leash. It’s amazing to see the dogs start to pay attention to their handlers with 2 simple exercises. If you want your dog to heel nicely on the leash and not pull come join my groups at Pecos Park. Classes will begin early January. Register now through Phoenix Park and Recreation.
Warrior was an out of control dog. He was jumping on everyone, pulling on the leash and a terror in the home. Within 4 sessions Warrior is now behaving in the home and a dream to walk in the neighborhood. I can’t wait to see what happens in the final 2 sessions.
People are afraid of pit bulls due to the scare tactics used in the media. But a well trained pit bull is very loyal and a good dog to own. My client in these photos started training a little later in her dogs ages but in no time both dogs responded and in a matter of weeks both dogs were heeling nicely and following through with commands. Both pit bulls Blue and Hazel are smart, well balanced sweet dogs. As dog owners when you set up good leadership, rules, boundaries, fun sports and consistent training you will end up with an awesome, amazing, fun loving dog.
Having fun in agility and basic obedience.
