A bit of fascia-release work to end our evening.

Allecia, It still amazes me how the off-body process works.
This is the key areas of my work with Dream today. In total, we worked on the spine for 20+ minutes. This was midway and at the end.
About half-way through she came over to me as if to ask, “how are your doing this”.
😁
So many big releases

Spent most of today’s session just hanging out together.

I love this sweet mare.

A little pedestal work today.

It’s been a while since we had some fun with the pedestal. Today we practiced “stay” in place. Then practiced a little more body control - keeping her front feet on the pedestal and stepping her hindquarters around. This was a first for her and after a few minutes she was doing great!

Silly girl, usually hates selfies, but was fascinated by the phone today.

Horse kisses.😘

Beautiful sunny night for a ride.
So much wind next door though.

Another “first” tonight. Riding with horses other than her stablemates.
Very good practice, and she was amazing.
Even though she was slightly distracted, she kept an eye on me while we worked. She wasn’t bothered by the gelding at all.

So good! 😊

Quiet evening with Dream last night.

Practiced bridling and “catching the bit”. She used to be better about accepting the bit, so I’m wondering if there is something dental that is an issue. But I’ll test a different bit this weekend. We ride mostly bitless at the moment.

Worked around cones in a cloverleaf pattern. Weaving inside/outside of the markers at walk/trot.

She seemed to be a little off, so we did a little bodywork. Dream is very good at letting me know her tight spots.

Worked for a bit next door. Worked on stamina at the trot and some trot/canter transitions. Those need a bit more work, and holding the canter for more than a couple of strides.

Dream did really good in backing through the poles. And we even did a little bit of side-passing over the poles.

Finished with some coconut oil spa treatment to her mane and tail. 🥰
