Worked on steering today.

Dream wasn’t a fan of being directed on where to go, but she was better about a half hour in. We worked around the barrels.

Next we’ll practice figure eights to start shifting directions. Right now, she anticipates every touch of the reins as circles.

From our session yesterday.

My camera was accidentally out of focus, but caught this beautiful canter transition. Practice and balance are improving.

Riding is going well. She is getting better with straighter lines. Need more practice on steering, but I’m not as concerned with that yet, as it’s only our 6th ride. Her “forward” is great!

Rainy day fun.

Testing out a new side-pull bridle - she’s less than thrilled. We’ll keep practicing with it.

Pole work and a bit of trotting (she was amazing keeping her head nice and low).

Went for a short walk around the farm. Then hung out together under the shelter.

She was so good. It was very hot today, so I think she enjoyed getting cooled off.

We did some pole work while she was drying and she did her first side passes over the large raised telephone pole. 😁

Dream was a gold-star mare for the vet yesterday.

Blood-draw, vaccinations, and x-rays of her hooves to ensure everything is good. Teeth all set until next year. She was so good!

After Lilly and I got back from working Maya Nova, she enjoyed just hanging out together and resting. 🥰

Braided up her main to start training it to lay on one side.

I got lots of kisses today. 🥰
