Hello hello KatuHouse – Happy Saturday!

It’s been a little while since I posted, so here’s an update!

Overall, things are mostly good here. Diana’s babies are hitting a little bump right now—most of them have diarrhea and aren’t eating as much as usual. It’s pretty messy; p**p is literally leaking out of their little butts. I’ve seen this before and think it might be some bacterial overgrowth. I started one on Clavamox, but I’ll be calling the vet today to see if we can get something stronger to clear this up fast. Otherwise, they’re still growing, sweet, playful, and loving—just need to get them over this hurdle.

Charlotte’s crew is thriving. Her boy Reaper, who had ringworm, is doing great! We’re about halfway through week three of meds, and he was already showing improvement at week two. We’ll finish this week, take a week off, then wrap it up with the final round.

New queen updates:
Valentina, my solid black beauty from Argentina, is finally back on track. Some of you know she arrived sick, but she’s doing much better now. She’s staying in quarantine with my helper Natalie until I return with my next new girl.

Return? From where, you ask?

Well, for those who follow my personal and tile pages too, you know I’ve been working nonstop—between Tile and Beyond and KatuHouse, it’s been go-go-go. So, I’m taking a short trip to my motherland, Armenia. Honestly, the timing isn’t ideal (it never is when you’ve got this much going on), and leaving the cats—especially with some not feeling 100%—is always hard. But I trust Natalie to keep everything running smoothly and keep my mind at ease while I’m away.

And here’s the exciting part: while in Armenia, I’ll finally be picking up my last queen! She’s coming from France to meet me there, and after a few days together, we’ll head back home to the States.

P.S. If you follow my pages, you know I post a lot. Once I’m overseas, expect double the content! I’ll be posting nonstop—even on the cat pages. I get so much positive feedback on my posts, and really, who doesn’t love seeing a new country through someone else’s perspective?

✨ Hello KatuHouse Family ✨

Big news—our future queens are on their way! 🐾 We’ve got 3 new ladies joining the program: two from overseas (France & Argentina) and one from right here at home, the daughter of our very own Queen Diana. 💙

That means… it’s name time! 👑

1️⃣ Solid black polydactyl female → Queen Valentina (aka Val or V)
2️⃣ Solid white polydactyl female with blue eyes → Queen Iris 🌸
3️⃣ Blue smoke female → still deciding! Her breeder calls her Artemis, but we’re open to ideas 👀💭 Drop your suggestions below!

Even though I may not always show it, deep down I am beyond excited. This journey has been long, full of setbacks and challenges—queens I’ve had to retire, dreams that seemed to slip away.

But finally… my dream of having a solid black and solid white polydactyl side by side is becoming a reality. 🖤🤍 This has been years in the making!

That being said—it’s not official just yet. All three girls still need to pass their health tests before becoming full members of KatuHouse. Right now, their “applications” are submitted, but none have been approved.

Fingers crossed 🤞💫 The future is looking bright here at KatuHouse!

Good morning KatuHouse,
Happy Wednesday!

Idk about y’all, but I am burnt out already — and we still have two more days until the weekend and three more before I can actually relax. Thank goodness for my helper, because after some of these days I come home with zero energy left to even think about cleaning.

Now, some updates:

🐾 Gavi & Shiraz – I’ve never had a kitten stay past 14 weeks before; they always get scooped up. But these two might just be the oldest kittens I’ve had who are still waiting for their families. And honestly? I don’t get it. You can’t see it through the screen, but these two have the most amazing personalities from their litter. Both are obsessed with humans, love to be held, and would rather be playing with you than anything else. They’re way ahead of the curve socially, and I have no doubt they’ll make incredible cats.

🐾 Not-so-good news – My new black kitty from Argentina isn’t doing well. She arrived seeming fine, but over the days developed a raspy cough, then a stuffy nose, and now a full-blown URI. It’s a bad one. She’s on meds, and stronger ones are on the way. Natalia (my helper, where she’s staying) steamed up the bathroom to help her breathe, which gave her a little relief, but since she can’t breathe well through her nose, she’s also not eating. She’s really struggling right now — keep her in your thoughts. 💔

So… what should I name this beautiful little girl? 🖤
She’s a solid black, polydactyl queen — super sweet and loving, always ready for pets, with a big appetite… yet I can see a fierceness in her too.

I’m looking for something unique, not your typical black cat name — something rare, elegant, and a little fierce. One suggestion was Valentina (sweet and loving, but with a dangerous edge). Her original name was Pandora, but I’m not really feeling it anymore.

What unique names come to mind for her? Drop your suggestions — let’s find something truly special for this future queen! 🐾

Good morning KatuHouse!
Happy Saturday! 🐾

Yesterday was a long and stressful day, but totally worth it in the end. I drove down to New York to pick up KatuHouse’s newest incoming queen! 🐱👑

I found out about her arrival pretty last minute, so I didn’t have much time to prepare. On top of that, I was having truck issues—my lights weren’t working right—so I had to scramble and rent a car. That turned into a headache, and in the end, I couldn’t even get the rental. Luckily, a friend let me borrow their car… but then at the last minute my truck lights decided to work again, so I just rolled with my truck all the way there and back. Made it home in one shot—blessed and lucky! 🙌

For now, this pretty little girl (still nameless) will be quarantining for the next 2 weeks at Natalia’s house—my amazing cat helper! This way we can be sure she’s 100% healthy before joining the rest of her new brothers and sisters at the cattery.

This was honestly one of the BEST kitten deliveries I’ve ever had—she was super clean, smelled great, and didn’t seem stressed at all. In the past, I’ve had kittens arrive covered in p**p and p*e, so this was a refreshing change!

Fun fact: in my effort to keep things real and transparent with you all—this little girl set me back about $5k between her cost, delivery, and pickup. And I’d do it all over again in a heartbeat. In fact… I am doing it again in 2 weeks when my other girl arrives from France! 😄

We still have 2 kitties available — Shiraz and Gavi!
They’re just 7 weeks old and already full of personality.

💗 Shiraz is the most affectionate of the girls (besides our white queen). While her sister Rose is a bit more independent for now, Shiraz loves attention and being around people — she’s such a sweetheart.

💙 Gavi, the only boy in the litter, is hands-down the most loving of them all. He’ll often choose to hang out with us humans over his siblings — that’s how much of a people-cat he is! This boy is going to be amazing — and probably a big one too.

Honestly, I’m surprised these two haven’t been scooped up yet — especially Gavi. He’s such a standout already, and we know he’s going to grow into an incredible companion.

Good morning KatuHouse!

We’ve got two exciting updates today! 🐾

First up — our newest queen is officially on her way, arriving all the way from Argentina! 🇦🇷
She’s a stunning solid black polydactyl female, and we are beyond excited to welcome her into the KatuHouse family. She lands today at JFK Airport in New York, and I’ll be heading out to pick her up.

As always with international arrivals, we’re following strict quarantine protocols. While I can’t house her at the cattery during this period, my amazing helper Natalia has kindly stepped up and will be caring for her for the next 1–2 weeks — just until we confirm she’s fully healthy and ready to meet the rest of the crew. Big reveal coming soon… stay tuned! 🖤

Second update — today marks 10 weeks for Charlotte’s kittens! 🎉
They’re thriving, running around like wild things, and fully embracing kittenhood. One of the two has tested positive for ringworm, while the other is clear — but both are on medication just to be safe. Because of that, they’ll be staying with me a little longer to make sure they’re 100% healthy before heading to their future homes.

Oh… and did I mention? With the arrival of our newest queen, cat count is about to hit 14. 🤯🤯
