Feel good post.

Oli's mom reached out to me, thru a mutual friend, and was concerned about some of Oli's behaviors, and was unsure if he, and her family were a good match, not because of his actions, but perhaps because they thought he needed a more experienced handler. So, I went and met with them, met Oli, and I urged her not to re-home him. He has some minor anxiety and protective issues, and no matter what, I'm gonna help them navigate this. So, fast forward about a month, I did a little work with Oli, at their home, and when I tell you that I have fallen absolutely in love with this gentle giant, that's an understatement. He's doing well at home, the family has committed to doing whatever it takes for Oli to stay, and I'm going to keep doing check-ins, mainly for my benefit(I just wanna play with this big goon). Lol

Please please please take this as my call to action and plea for you to never ever give up on your pup. It may not be easy. It may not be an immediate change. But these dogs love us, and we owe them all of our effort.

Sometimes they are just misunderstood, and need structure, and a bit of time to learn the boundaries and expectations.

Getting to snuggle adorable puppies everyday is the worst part of this job... Idk. I might quit.

Oh Hermione. From muzzled, to smiley smoochie mama. Proud of you and your growth.

Dutchie boy, you've been thru hell... Injuries, attacks, multiple homes, and yet, you are still a love bug. And so brilliant.

No training advice here... Just, puppies who have gone back home to their parents, with a bit more structure, and a slow road ahead.

Never give up on your pups. They'll never give up on you.

Jesse's first day of training was a WILDLY Successful day. He's going to be such a fun dog when he's done. He's already a super lovey doggo, with a ton of drive and is a major people pleaser. His recall and some of his happy boy antics have been a bit much at times, and if there's a ball around, he's got nothing else on his mind except "FETCH"...

Millie, Leo, Cali, Taylor. Four absolutely crazy fun pups. Happiest group ever. But, they are also super obedient.

Your pup doesn't have to lose its personality to become obedient. Implementing structure into your dog's life, holding them accountable to that structure, can minimize their stress and anxiety, and therefore allow them to show their true colors. These love bugs haven't always been trusted off leash or around other pups... But with consistency and structure, here they are.

Our little buddy T-Rex did so amazing at Skoobies HQ this week, that after his final exam, we let him pick out a toy at PetSmart, and you're never going to guess what he picked...

This handsome little guy goes home today and I couldn't be prouder of all his progress and hard work.
