❤️🐾 Why This Fundraiser Truly Matters
Our Akita Statue Auction Ends This Saturday
As we approach the end of our Akita Statue Auction, I want to share a story that reflects exactly why this fundraiser is so important to me personally.
Not long ago, we pulled an Akita who was only hours away from being euthanized. He arrived scared, fragile, and in urgent need of medical intervention. Despite the severity of his condition, we made a promise, the same promise we make to every dog who comes through our doors:
We will try. We will fight for you. We will not let you leave this world unseen or unloved.
He received extensive veterinary care. Our team rallied. Our supporters rallied. Hope rallied.
But in the end, despite everything we poured into him
medically, financially, emotionally, his body simply couldn’t overcome what he had endured. We lost him.
His loss broke our hearts, but it strengthened our mission.
Because our work isn’t about guaranteed outcomes.
It is about compassion.
it is about dignity.
it is about giving every Akita a chance, even when the odds aren’t in their favor.
This is why the Akita Statue Auction matters to me and to my Team.
The funds raised help cover life-saving medical care, emergency interventions, and long-term support for dogs just like him, dogs who need immediate help, dogs who have nowhere else to turn, dogs who deserve a second chance.
