At Pawsitively Purrfect Retreat, our mission is to ensure every cat is placed in a safe, loving, and lifelong home. To help us achieve this, we have the following adoption policies in place. Adoption Location
To ensure we
can properly support our adopters and remain responsible for the cats we rescue, adoptions are limited to homes in New York State within a reasonable driving distance of our New York rescue. This allows us to assist adopters if needed and ensures that any cat can be returned to the rescue if a placement does not work out. Return Policy
All cats adopted from Pawsitively Purrfect Retreat must be returned to the rescue if the adopter is no longer able to care for them. Cats may not be rehomed, surrendered to another rescue, or taken to a shelter. Veterinary Care
Adopters must agree to provide proper veterinary care for their cat throughout their lifetime. This includes routine wellness exams, vaccinations, and treatment for illness or injury. Indoor Homes
All cats adopted through Pawsitively Purrfect Retreat must be kept as indoor-only pets. This is to protect them from disease, injury, and other outdoor dangers. Adoption Process

Adoption Fees
Adoption fees help cover a portion of the medical care our cats receive before adoption. Cats adopted from Pawsitively Purrfect Retreat are:
✔ Spayed or neutered
✔ Vaccinated as age appropriate
✔ Tested for feline leukemia when appropriate
✔ Treated for fleas/parasites if needed
✔ Given basic wellness care

We ensure all rescues receive necessary vaccinations, feline leukemia testing when needed, flea treatments, spay/neuter surgery, and nail trims before finding their forever homes. Our retreat offers a compassionate and enriching environment where cats can play, socialize, and learn to trust and be loved.
