PORTLAND: As you may have heard, there is a new and unnamed illness affecting dogs across the country. It causes respiratory distress and pneumonia like symptoms. If your dog begins to experience these symptoms, please reschedule your appointment and call your veterinarian. If we have a dog in our care and we notice any of these symptoms, you will be required to pick them up immediately. They will be placed in a secluded area of the salon until your arrival. The good news is, unlike communal dog areas, the dogs at our salon do not come in contact with each other and have not since 2020. We will continue to run our industrial fan system as well as thoroughly sanitize the salon (including human touch points, walls, doors, water bowls, aprons, our yard, and equipment) throughout the day. Our yard will be off limits unless a dog is left in our care for longer than 4 hours. In this case we will sanitize the area used for bathroom breaks. Our salon comes equipped with a roll-up garage door for ventilation, as well as a secured backyard that allows us to leave our door open for even more ventilation. We take this very seriously and feel that our facility is as safe as a salon can be. We will be sending out texts to all customers to ensure everyone gets this information. Please follow reliable sources as there is a lot of misinformation on the internet, and ask your vet!
