Our pack has grown so much since our last introduction post, so we figured it was time for a new one!

For those of you who don’t know us well yet, hi I’m Nyah! The owner, founder & creator of Gray and Hound. You’ll find me planning collections, doing our photography, replying to customer service emails, updating the website, ordering materials, and so much more. We’re still so small that I do just about everything! 👋🏻

We also have a lovely small team of two ladies currently that sew and ship each and every one of your orders in our Oregon studio.

Last year was our biggest yet and we can’t wait for 2026 to top it. We’re working on so many collections, artist series collaborations, and brand new products.

Taking inspiration from an environment is one of our favorite things about creating our exclusive designs [desert edition] 🏜️

Often, people love a specific place because of how it makes the feel, or the memories they associate with it. Our focus with the patterns we create for our gear is to capture those two things.

The desert makes us feel inspired, happy, and full of life. It’s a place with endless rock formations, interesting textures, and something different lies around every corner. While the desert could be thought of as boring, dry, and lacking life, there is truly nothing boring about it.

While we are based in the Pacific Northwest, the desert is close to our hearts and we’ve added quite the collection of desert inspired patterns to the shop. Featured is Cactus Bloom 🌸

You can tell a lot about someone by the life they’ve built with their dogs.

That is Abigail’s story. She shares life with a pack of eight dogs in Tennessee. All different breeds, all with their own personalities, and all part of her life in their own ways. From hiking and sport competitions to media work and everyday life, they’re right there in the middle of it all.

pack shows us how special it is when gear becomes part of that kind of life. The kind of piece you clip on without a second thought and that comes home a little dusty or damp, and is ready to do it all again the next day.

This pack always captivates us. Not just because of what they do together, but because of how fully Abigail’s dogs are part of the life around them.

A bigger world can look like a lot of things.

It can be a mountain trail, but it can also be a slow evening walk somewhere new. A picnic. A creek. A patio. A drive with the windows cracked. A little more life outside the usual routine.

Sometimes expanding your dog’s world is less about doing something extreme and more about remembering to include them in the good stuff.
