The long awaited Nomad Mat in Evergreen & Obsidian opens for pre-order tomorrow morning at 9am pst and we couldn’t be more excited!!

When brainstorming and designing new products, there are two questions I ask myself:

1. Would I naturally use this in daily life with my dog?
2. Is there a product I find myself needing but can’t find exactly what I want on the market?

If the answer to both of those is yes, off we go! I knew we needed to add the Nomad Mat & Trailside Bowl to our line up when I started using them all the time after receiving the samples. They’ve been exactly what I was missing on our adventures and it sounds like they’re what you’ve been missing on your dog’s adventures too!

Over the years, I’ve tried countless travel bowls for my own dog. They either got wet fast, didn’t dry quickly, wouldn’t stay folded, couldn’t clip onto anything, or were too small/shallow. This bowl solves all of those things.

I’ve been using this exact bowl for two years now. I was so clear on what I wanted from it that the first sample was the one and only sample we needed to know this is exactly what we wanted.

Our pack has grown so much since our last introduction post, so we figured it was time for a new one!

For those of you who don’t know us well yet, hi I’m Nyah! The owner, founder & creator of Gray and Hound. You’ll find me planning collections, doing our photography, replying to customer service emails, updating the website, ordering materials, and so much more. We’re still so small that I do just about everything! 👋🏻

We also have a lovely small team of two ladies currently that sew and ship each and every one of your orders in our Oregon studio.

Last year was our biggest yet and we can’t wait for 2026 to top it. We’re working on so many collections, artist series collaborations, and brand new products.
