Training Update for Ruby & Rebel!

Hey everyone! Quick (and exciting!) update on Ruby & Rebel’s training journey!

March didn’t quite go as planned — Rebel had his neuter ✂️ and I got super sick 🤒, which meant no training or walkthrough videos got started or posted. Total bummer!

BUT we’re back and better than ever — training officially kicked off in April and we’re so pumped to get things rolling again!
Videos are coming this month and we can’t wait to share their transformation with you!

Barrett’s Reactivity Journey – Confidence, Manners & Trust

When I first met Barrett, he was a bundle of big feelings — to anything that felt unpredictable. But behind that reactivity was a dog who wasn’t trying to be “bad” — he was just unsure, overwhelmed, and doing his best to navigate the world.

He's getting better one session at a time, and is the goodest boy!!

Through consistent training, Barrett has been learning how to regulate those big emotions and build confidence — not just in himself, but in his mom’s leadership. That trust has been the foundation for everything. Along with slowing down, and letting himself to think instead of just react.

He’s starting to understand that he doesn’t need to be on high alert — that his mom’s got him, and he can just be a dog.

The journey isn’t about perfection — it’s about progress, partnership, and creating a calm, confident life together. And Barrett is crushing it.

Vino’s Day & Train: Confidence in Progress

Today, Vino the Dachshund and I went on a day-and-train adventure focused on building confidence and working through his reactivity. For a dog who usually feels the need to bark first and ask questions later, this outing was a big deal.

From structured walks to exposure in new environments, Vino was challenged in all the right ways — and he rose to the occasion. With guidance and calm leadership, he practiced slowing down, checking in, and learning that the world isn’t as scary as it seems.

Reactivity is often a sign of uncertainty, not defiance. Helping dogs like Vino feel safe, understood, and empowered is why I do what I do.

One day, one step at a time — and Vino crushed it.
