Lindsey Rocque Garcia and family is in our thoughts and prayers. Bentley was truly special and one of a kind! I am so grateful I was able to facetime for his 15th birthday last week 🥹💔 love you Mr t***s!
I wanted to take a moment to honor one of our dear friend's bunnies who passed peacefully of old age this morning while sleeping next to his humans. Bentley (also known as T***s) was a special boy who was saved by Space Coast Bunnies. At the beginning of his life he traveled around with a mail carrier, then he went to a home where he lived in a hutch outside in poor conditions. That caused him to be a medically needy bunny. He had constant weepy eyes, and he was too old to be neutered. Lindsey (a long time SCB volunteer and friend), who was also the bunny hero to Julius the miracle tripod bunny, quickly fell in love with Bentley and he became her sanctuary bunny. Bentley thrived as a house bunny and under Lindsey's care. He lived in the middle of everything and fit right in. He would come running to them when he heard his name and walk between their feet, he'd get on the couch for snuggles, ring a bell for treats, hump toy Santa under the Christmas tree, lol. He had a big personality and was a huge presence. He was bonded to the whole family, had a sweet friendship with Lindsey's husband David, and even was a comfort to their shy rescue pup, Mako. He survived through cancer and suspected liver lobe torsion. He was an unstoppable little guy. He lived to celebrate his 15th birthday recently after several amazing years with Lindsey and the family. His last chapter in life is what we want for every bunny and a huge example of why domestic bunnies belong indoors. T***s will be greatly missed. You have some really special friends with you now over the rainbow bridge. 🌈
