Always a pleasure to ride with Lilo Fore! This time was on my personal horse Don Rubin. With only 3months since I’ve purchased him I was very happy with our first outing.

Proud to have received my Silver Medal and represent Region 6 as a PM delegate at USDF Convention this year! We had a great group and lots of wonderful awards at the Gala given to our NW riders and breeders!

The last five days have been an amazingly wonderful whirlwind of eduction, connections and inspiration! I was apart of the Western Dressage Association of America WDAA judges apprenticeship to work on becoming an “r” judge. It was an awesome program that ran smoothly and was so jammed packed with great information! Our instructors were kind and gave positive insight for every applicant! I was so lucky to also share the journey with my judging twin (we’ve followed several tracks together) Tabby Ann who was definitely the positive energy that everyone wants in their life. I also could not have done this without my wonderful scribe Lindsey Worley who took time to come with me. She is my time keeper, knows my thoughts better than I do sometimes and a great friend.

I was also there to help represent and give beautiful awards to the high scores in my regional affiliate Pacific Northwest Western Dressage Association as the President! I love the community and networks that are built here. I’m so proud of the whole board I work with and the hard work they’ve put in for us to get here! I got to cheer on many outstanding riders from the PNW who traveled to compete! It definitely has inspired me to compete here!

Proud to be the trainer of this fine lady and extra proud that it’s on a horse that I trained from the ground up. Thor the Mustang is the best boy.

“In the days leading up to the show, I was never nervous about riding the tests. I was more nervous about how I would look, or what others might think of me as a plus sized rider, than about my riding itself. It is always difficult to push those thoughts out of my brain, as I’m sure some of my fellow plus sized riders can relate.

But, nothing will ever compare to the feeling I had traveling down my first centerline with Thor. In those moments between the bell and our final salute, there was no judge, no audience, no fear, and no self-doubt. I couldn’t physically see or feel any of that… in that moment, it was just Thor and I, dancing together. When I dismounted after my first test, tears welled in my eyes and my heart was bursting with pride...

My partnership with Thor has taught me a greater sense of self-love and acceptance. At the end of every ride, Thor loves what we do together, and couldn’t care less about what I look like. Thor’s golden heart continues to teach, and encourage me to love myself, more and more with every ride.”
