I haven’t been posting much lately, and I want to share why.
Over the past few months, I’ve been dealing with repeated issues on Instagram, Facebook, and Etsy. My accounts being restricted, pieces being taken down from my shop, posts being removed, and my shop temporarily removed. Even though it’s back, my work is reaching far fewer people now. All of this has been because of automated systems incorrectly flagging my art.
None of my pieces use endangered or threatened animals, insects, or plants. Everything in my work is ethically sourced and respectfully preserved by me or fellow taxidermists and oddity collectors. I create this art to honor life after it has ended and to show the beauty I see in what remains.
Social media plays a huge role in sharing my work, so navigating this has been challenging. I’m still creating, still appealing their decisions, and working towards building my own website.
If you’d like to support my work, sharing my posts, visiting me at shows, or spreading the word truly helps. Thank you for continuing to support my art and the meaning behind it ❤️
