Just in from Hawaii! We are fortunate enough to have received a genuine 100 Lbs. Club Ulua caught off South Point, Big Island Hawaii of the cliff by skilled angler Kelli Nobriga @the.nobrigas under some incredibly difficult conditions! Barry – Great Barracuda Recovery !

The fish named Barry (GFR23425) was originally tagged on 12/23/2019 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida aboard the Out of the Blue and was recovered on 7/21/2020 offshore of Little Tybee Island, Georgia by a recreational angler.

In the 211 days Barry traveled 353 nautical miles (straight-line)

Gray FishTag Research

They were able to deploy two tags just offshore in Sandy Hook, New Jersey on two healthy 45 and 46 inch candidates (named “Cora and Rona”) and have a third tag that they will try and deploy this week.

There were two attempts but unfortunately we missed the Hudson River migration and will be looking to get the third tag deployed off Montauk, New York to see if it follows to migration track from last year as the fish passed Montauk, Block Island and then offshore.

It was of course disappointing that we were not able to be there in person (due to the pandemic) and represent our GFR team. However, we are as always very grateful that Mike Caruso and Jim Hutchinson were able to get captains and boats together and get these tags deployed to build onto the study.

I wanted to thank Harrison for the awesome job he did in recreating my trophy fish. I feel it was definitely worth the wait and I was so impressed upon receiving my amberjack, it was like reliving the experience over again. I would highly recommend them for any of your taxidermy needs!! It looks great hanging on my wall.
I suggest you guys call me ASAP rather than keeping $8,000 of mine for 6 months and not sending me the 2 fish I caught in Cabo which was supposed to be delivered a month ago!!!!

Extremely unhappy. I have called several times,left messages and emailed many times and sent FB messages for our shipping date of 2 mounts for this month so we can plan to be home. After 6 weeks of trying to contact the sales rep I have heard NOTHING. Both phone numbers just ring. Afraid I am out several thousand dollars for our fish
Total scam BUYER BEWARE
Well, the Shark did alright for an EF 4 tornado. This was my prized possession, I wanted to share this to let you know that the quality of Grays mounts are second to none. If it can remain recognizable after my house got obliterated, then no one should have any worry about what they get from this company. I hope to get another mount, but it may be quite some time before I can do so. Happy fishing everyone. Go out fishing when you can because life is too short to not to!
