Thank you for the support for this upcoming seminar and this important topic. However we’ve had some unexpected scheduling changes and will postpone this event for the June 7th date. We will contact anyone who had signed up for this Saturday and refund your ticket payment or advance it to the June 7th event. We will keep updates coming for the next seminar and thank all of our supporters and our wonderful equine community. Thank you to Marquise Equine Nutrition for putting together a terrific presentation as well. We look forward to seeing you all in June, for a terrific night of learning, fun and fellowship.

Special thanks to Amber Massey for a very engaging presentation and giving our community more clarity on the subject of laminitis. We are so looking forward to having her back in one month’s time. Same place, same time, different subject!

🌟 Zay Update! 🌟

We're so grateful to share that Zay is back at Wandering Hearts Rescue after spending 6 weeks with Jeremy Anglin in Marshall. For the first time in decades, Zay experienced a multi-horse environment, which was a significant challenge for him.

With Jeremy's incredible patience, Zay slowly learned to trust, setting a foundation for leading, grooming, and even having his feet handled.

However, after returning to WRH, Zay has struggled to settle in. He’s been pacing, calling out, and showing signs of stress. Our dedicated team, along with the veterinarians at Hunt Country Equine, is working hard to keep him comfortable with medication and special care, including multiple mash meals a day.

Zay is safe with us right now, but we need your support to help him continue living peacefully. For just $5 a month, or by skipping one coffee or drink, you can make a big difference in Zay's life. We need to raise $500/month to ensure he can stay with us, as rehoming isn’t an option due to his past.

Wandering Hearts Rescue is looking for some rubber mats to be donated for our new quarantine area. If any one in the local area has some to donate, we’d greatly appreciate it. We are able to do local pick up of any donations. A tax deductible donation receipt can also be provided. Thank you in advance!

Meet Camelot 🤍 The very best pasture companion!

Camelot is estimated to be in his mid twenties. He is a loving and gentle boy that needs to find a safe landing. Camelot recently lost his pasture buddy and has been grieving for some time. His owners have reached out for us to find a place for him. Our vet is coming out next week to get Camelot up to date on his vaccines. As you can see, he has lost muscle and needs to put on some weight. We are confident with forage mashes he will have no problem putting on weight. If you or anyone you know is looking for a companion horse, Camelot is your guy! He is currently out with cows and goats and is completely kid proof.

Big things are happening for Zay 💞 This week Jasmine and Julia took Zay up the road for a month of training. We have secured half of his sponsorship needed to let him live out his life at WHR. As Zay came to us as an untouched stallion, he lacks understanding of basic ground skills. Jeremy, our trusted trainer, has worked with several of our rescues and is kind and patient. It’s important we meet them where they are at and continue to set them up for success.
