We're professionally trained to teach good behavior… but this face is professionally trained to MELT HEARTS. 💘

Real talk: Even when they’re this cute, consistent training is key to helping your pup feel confident and safe in our big human world. But yes, we absolutely take breaks for extra admiration. It’s part of the Fear Free philosophy, right? 😄🐶

You’ve made an incredible choice—the journey to adoption already begins with kindness and hope. But here's the thing: cats don’t follow timelines, and every rescue cat deserves the grace of moving at their own pace. Patience, time, and a calm heart can make all the difference

What to Keep in Mind:
⭐Let them settle at their own rhythm. Unlike dogs, cats don’t follow the “Rule of 3s”—their adjustment timeline varies based on their past experiences
⭐Start with separation. Give your new cat a calm, neutral space (like a safe room) to decompress—and let your other resident cats—and the newcomer—adapt gradually through scent and space

🌊🐶 SPLASH ZONE ALERT: Goose in Action! 🐾💦

Meet Goose, a gentle Great Pyrenees mix who's currently stealing hearts (and splashing everyone!) during group play at The Colony Animal Shelter. 🐕💛

Goose had an absolute blast playing in the water with our Wiggle Butt Academy helper dogs this week. He’s friendly, easy-going, and LOVES a good pool party. 🏖️🐾 Whether he’s lounging in the water or making new four-legged friends, Goose shows us every day that he’s ready for a home filled with love, laughter, and a splash pad (optional, but highly encouraged 😉).

We’re working closely with the amazing team at The Colony Animal Shelter to help Goose shine his brightest. With his gentle nature and big heart, we know his perfect family is out there.
