Boozer is a 9 year old grade red dun gelding. He stands 15.1 hands tall weighs close to 1300lbs. He has the bone and foot like a bull elk. Boozer has all the substance to carry any size rider! He is easy to catch, stands tied all day long, saddles easy, takes a bit like candy, quiet as a mouse for the farrier, stands perfect for baths and clippers. Low in the pecking order. 100% sound. Does have shoes all the way around as a personal preference of ours. He requires no maintenance, has no health issues, requires no special feed. Very easy keeper.
Boozer is guaranteed to steal your heart as soon as you meet him, and after you ride him you WILL fall in love with him if his looks didn’t already make you fall for him! He walk, trot, lopes with no issues. Takes his leads every time. Stops on a dime. Breaks at the pole, backs up like a professional truck driver. He has a TRUE one hand neck rein. He will ride ba****ck, double, in a halter, bridleless, you name it he will do it.
Boozer has trail rode all over the Midwest. He has been to numerous national and state parks! Eminence, Shimick, Pioneer Ridge, Brushy Creek, just to name a few! He will cross water, logs, ditches, mud, ect. He is a point and go type horse. No matter how tough the trail he will go through it and take care of you every step of the way! After a long day of trial riding he loves a good swim in the pond/river! He stands tied at the hitching rail all night or stalls just as good! He will also pack the saddle bags with no issues making for the perfect beer drinking horse!
Boozer is no stranger to a day of hard work. He has been used to gather cattle, sort pairs, pasture roped, doctor calves, pen back at the sale barn. He will not let one get by him! He has also been in a box, will rope head or heel side and has played around in break away as well! He would make a great beginner rope horse! Boozer is tough as nails and has no quit to him when it comes to getting a job done!
Boozer is safe for absolutely anyone! I would trust any age, any size rider, any level rider on him with no hesitation. I could type a book on this exceptional gelding as he makes no mistakes and aims to please.
He is current on coggins, dental, farrier, shots, wormer.
