Morris. Maine C**n Morris. You can call me Mr. Morris. I like my catnip cat-tinis shaken with a splash of milk on the side. I like to look dapper with my fancy bow ties. And I have this sleek new haircut that makes my fur look like velvet. I am irresistible. You know you want me in your life!

Yes, I have trained this temporary assistant to speak baby talk to me. I expect no less from my future permanent valet.

Please learn to say, lovey wuvey, kitten mittens, and boo-tiful boy to be considered for the position. Mastering baby talk is just one of your many duties.

Send credentials to my temporary assistant at [email protected]

Morris says, "I'll just sit here and pray for a new forever home."

Morris is a big, sweet smooshball. He recently had all his long hair shaved and he now looks like he is wearing fluffy white boots (he could be in a boy band!) or footed pajamas. He is a soft, silky loaf of bread who craves attention.

You will not find a nicer cat anywhere than Morris. He loves to sit in your lap, but he needs a bit of a boost to get there. His bum gives some drag when he tries to jump up to find that comfy lap experience. Expect lots of biscuit making on your legs and when he is settled and his elevator butt is now in the down position, he'll be ready for a nap. Please just continue to let your legs fall asleep while he dozes off to kitty slumberland.

Morris is a purr bug and will wind around your legs meowing for attention until you can't resist and rub that big, furry head.

Morris needs a new home, because his current owner is going in to nursing care.

Morris is a big boy at almost 17 pounds and he is also a little older. He is about 10-years-old. He is neutered and up-to-date on his vaccines. He is also microchipped and all his bloodwork for labs came back showing that he is very healthy. He was treated preventatively for fleas/ticks and dewormed.

Morris is good with other cats and would be fine with cat savvy, respectful children. He is very friendly and is a gentle, sweet soul. We believe he is part Maine C**n.

Morris did test positive for FIV. FIV is very hard to pass between cats and is usually acquired from a deep bite wound with fighting between un-neutered male cats or in vitro from mom to kittens. Negative and positive cats can live together. Morris lived in a household with other cats who tested negative.

That being said, cats with FIV can live very long and healthy lives. They often can go their whole lives without any symptoms. The only thing that is an issue is a decreased immune system which means they can pick up other infections and is why they need an inside only home.

If you could open your heart to take in an older cat with many more years ahead of him, Morris would be very happy and his owner would feel less anxiety about going to nursing care.

Morris is a big, sweet smooshball. He used to be the shop cat at a mechanics garage in Plain City, so he was often covered in grease and had to be groomed regularly. All that long hair needed to be brushed and maintained. The guys in the shop took care of him and used to let him have drinks of their McDonald's iced tea.

The shop closed and Morris went home with the owners, but he hasn't been as happy without his life of adventures. We imagine him in his comfy chair dreaming of scrambling over tires and hubcaps hunting for chipmunks.

Those days of rough and tumble romps are over. Morris needs a new home, because his current owner is going in to nursing care.

This is Allie. Allie is a bobtail kitty, because she lost her tail many years ago. She has done fine without a tail.

What she is not doing well with, however, if losing her mom to memory loss. Allie's mom has dementia and needs to go to nursing care. Her mom can only take one cat with her and since Allie is so nice, we felt it would be much easier to find her a home than the other kitty.

Allie loves to just sit next to you and chill on the couch. She is very friendly and likes to be held and comes right to you as soon as she realizes you are her buddy.

Allie is about 9-10 years old and is spayed. We just updated all of her vet care, so she is current on vaccines, is negative for feline leukemia/FIV, has been treated preventatively for fleas/ticks, and is microchipped.

Allie has been around other cats. She would be okay with older kids, but she mainly just wants a quiet home where she can sit on your lap or cuddle up close and watch tv and live out the rest of her days being loved.

If you can give Allie a safe place to land after losing the only home she has ever known, please email us at [email protected]
