As some of you can tell im back in the shop and getting caught up. I dont want to make any excuses bc alot of you have been waiting way too long for your birds. But over the past year and a half I had major back issues. By spending over 2000 dollars and 7 months later i was back on my feet. Between that, havin a new baby boy 4 months ago and starting a new full time insurance sales job its been a tough go of it....

But please know anyone that has waited more than a year will get a discount on your mounts!!! Im finally getting caught up im doing my best to insure high quality work.

Thank you for your patience! I know i havent delivered on my promise yet but ill make damn sure your bird gets my absolute best!

Finishing these in the order they came in. Here are a couple of my latest...

I try to post this every year but this is absolute best way to preserve a duck for a mount on with what you have in your kitchen.

First dry and gently wash with wet rag any blood off breast feathers if possible. Blood should almost soak up in paper towel really easy, if not just leave it no need to scrub just gently wipe from head to tail.

Next step is to tuck head eye lids down under wing this keeps moisture in eyelids.

Then completely soak papertowels in water and wrap both feet with a gentle squeeze, still should be dripping wet. This keeps all the moisture in the feet!

Last step is thick contractor trash bags. If you have cheap trash bags just use 2. Place duck breast down in corner of bag then gently squeeze air out of bag and knot it at end. Be careful not to twist up tail feathers or feet in knot so place knot bout an inch or two from where you feel feet end.

Think of it as wrapping up a steak to freeze. Air is bad causes freezer burn. This method will keep your bird in great shape for at least 6mo if not a year. DO NOT USE PANTYHOSE OR NEWSPAPER absolute worst thing you can do to a duck!!! Thanks fellas hope this helps! Be safe have a great season!!!
