Good-morning! I thought I would share my story with everyone.
I was given to a family who wanted me, or so I thought. When I was about 3 months old I got outside. A neighbor found me and took me to a rescue. They found me a home and told them they had me at the vet to be spayed. Before they could spay me, my owners showed up to get me. I was so happy to be going home!
Three months later I went into heat. It was miserable and all I did was cry. I guess I must have upset my family because they threw me outside. I was so scared! I almost got hit by a car a few times so I climbed up on a roof to be safe. I hate that I can not hear because I nearly died that day.
Someone found me and put me in a carrier and took me to my house. They knocked on the door but no one answer. She could hear the TV on so she knocked louder, still no one came to the door. So she contacted the rescue organization again and took me there.
The rescue people were very nice to me and they called the family who was going to take me the last time and asked them if they would still give me a home. Thankfully she said yes!!
So back to the vet I went. They spayed me, which caused me to be a little sore but at least I wasn't miserable and crying all the time.
My new family picked me up later that night and took me home. I got to walk around and check things out. They had food and water for me and I got to sleep on the bed!
Oh! And I had new friends!! There were 3 other cats and a dog at the time. They didn't know how to take me at first and were not too friendly, especially one, her name is Luna! Her and I get along now but in the beginning...it was pretty rough!
Since that time sadly I lost my little doggy friend. Harley. He was pretty old and wasn't feeling well and sadly he went to the rainbow bridge. Then last year, two of my cat siblings, Bonkers and Snickers, also went to the Rainbow bridge. They were REALLY old...19!!! I hope I live that long! They must have missed each other because they died 5 weeks to the day apart from each other.
Since I have been here, my family has taken in 4 more rescues. Three of them are brothers, Pumpkin, Salem and Voodoo and and older cat, his name is Chester. He's pretty old and not feeling well these days. He kinda had a life like me before he got here. Taken in to a family who then decided to throw him in the basement to live. When he started to cry, they threw him out in the cold, tossing him a can of food once a day. I know how happy he must be to live here as well.
Oh! And I almost forgot! I have 2 new big brother dogs! Maggie is a Siberian Husky, and shes 2 and Sasha, is a golden retriever and shes 10 months old! They are SOOOOO big! Especially Sasha!
So that's my story! My life started out a little rocky but...I couldn't be happier! I have a great family, a nice cozy bed, fresh food and water each day and 6 other friends to play with.
