Six days ago a fire started that would later be classified as historic. 13,845 acres were burned, and the fire is still active. Almost contained, but still active as it has crossed the SC/NC border.

In a blink of an eye, things changed rapidly. We went from loving the view from our front porch, to being terrified of the view. It was a startling reminder that we never know what the next minute will bring.

Call your loved ones, hug them a little more tightly, and don’t let pride and ego come between relationships/friendships. We are only promised today ❤️
