End of watch K-9 Mick

On July 20, 2026, we said goodbye to retired K9 Mick.
Mick served alongside his handler, Wes Zygmont, throughout his law enforcement career, standing beside him through long days, difficult calls, and countless moments that most people will never see. The bond between a working dog and their handler is forged through absolute trust—something that lasts long after the badge comes off.
After retirement, Mick spent his years where every police K9 deserves to be: at home.
Thank you, Mick, for your service, your loyalty, and the lives you helped protect.
Our thoughts are with Wes and everyone who had the privilege of knowing this incredible dog.
