South African Leopard Tortoise -
Stigmochelys pardalis

Very distinctive “now” regional variant of Leopard Tortoise. Very easy to tell these apart from other leopard tortoises. Double dotted, more elongated in shape and heavy speckling on skin. Plastron color and pattern also a noticeable difference as well as final adult size.

Aldabra Tortoise - Aldabrachelys gigantea

Some of our favorites here at A.T.C. Jet black and miniature replicas of their adult counterparts. Little shy and flighty at this young age but a good trait to have to ensure being safe and reaching a larger “safer” size.

Armenian Greek Tortoise -
Testudo graeca armeniaca

Newest Greek species to the United States.
(at least documented) Very robust tortoises that vary in color schemes, even more so in hatchlings. Still much to learn about these tortoises but we are well on our way!

Travancore Hybrids - back in the day, breeders didn’t do very well for Travancore Tortoises that were brought into the U.S. over a couple decades ago. At best here in the states we are looking at 3/4 Travancore and 1/4 elongata. This will be the closest to a pure Travancore we will be able to have since export/import stopped long long ago. These are still a beautiful tortoise to be able to work with. 💜
