I’ll be at uptown farmers market tomorrow helping my permaculture buddy Elise with her booth while she travels- bringing these black mission figs that I just harvested today as the sun was low, as well as some locally grown flowers! She provides locally grown/made jams, breads, veggies, greens, and more! Come and see me if you can!

The farm truly perks up after we get the rare and precious occasion of rain! It’s such a wonderful thing to be able to say that in the Phoenix metro area we had a high temperature that didn’t exceed 90 degrees today and I wanted to document that special moment. Did you spend time outside today? I’d love to hear about it

In this week’s cafe tables at on Shea, the arrangements feature Yarrow, Limonium, and Scented Geranium! The leaves of the scented geranium smell of rose and mint- and both the scented geranium and the yarrow are edible. Yarrow is a medicinal plant and more blooms will be available this Saturday morning when has their grand opening celebration in downtown Phoenix! I will be there with a flower bar so you can select from these and other locally grown stems to take home a floral creation of your own! Some will be raffled for free and others will be available for purchase. I can’t wait to see you Saturday as we celebrate Proof together! And if you happen to stop by the Shea location you now know a little more about these little table arrangements- and you can tell your friends what the flowers are and look like a fancy flower connoisseur

What a wonderful season! This year I had the honor to flower several Passover Seders as well as Easter florals! At this week’s Arizona flower collective market I just had to purchase these perfect spring blooms from Whipstone Farm and Rosebird farm! Also, we were able to donate the entire wagon load pictured which included some blooms from my farm as well as the other two listed and also shop flower to table- to an assisted living facility! I can’t wait to get the photos of the residents building arrangements of AZ grown flowers 💕💐

There are less mulberries this year due to the crazy temperature swings we had this spring- my weather station recorded 100 degrees once in March and twice so far in April and then we had dips back to cold and wind…the poor plants were like What??? So I know I am lucky to still be harvesting as much as I am this year! Some folks lost their entire crops. This is farming! There’s always great successes and also great heartaches. But we all know overall nature is generous and abundant. And I am thankful for that. I hope everyone is out enjoying the beautiful weather while they can before the heat!
