Today’s E-Listed PUPPIES

At just 7 months old: Gaston and Jack are brothers who are scheduled to die because they are absolutely terrified of being scheduled to die.

These boys are big dogs but they are still very much just little puppies. Seven months for dogs is the equivalent to a nine year old human child. Would you sentence a 9 year old human child to death for being shut down in fear?

For clarity: These pups are in NO WAY aggressive. They simply won’t get up and walk when asked, because they are frozen and trembling with fear. They are calm when handled and allow all touching.

My boys were exactly like this at 10 months and now they are the most popular and social dogs at the dog park.

Can you devote just a few months of your time to allow these boys a chance to recover and find their permanent home(s)?

Their time is limited. Let me know ASAP if you can help. You cannot save these boys by going directly to the shelter yourself (because MCCAC hates scared puppies and makes it extra difficult to save them). I can get you set up for either direct adoption or fostering supported by a rescue

It took a few days but some neighbors and I were able to successfully capture a mama dog and her four puppies who had been traveling the streets of Coronado. All five of them were riddled with ticks and mites, and a couple of the puppies were found to have worms.

Two of the puppies were adopted by their finders and, after a few days of uncertainty, we were able to find some amazing neighbors willing to foster the mom and remaining two puppies. Thanks to the generosity of a handful of neighbors, all of the dogs have been bathed and treated for ticks, mites, and worms and are already feeling so much better!

Unfortunately, the male puppy has tested positive for parvo this morning. The testing for that puppy has already maxed out the foster’s CareCredit account. The emergency vet is recommending that both puppies be treated with parvo antibodies and that the mom be tested and treated if necessary, in addition to the fluids/meds the male puppy is needing to feel better.

The estimated cost for all of this is roughly $2000, which none of us are able to cover.

If anyone is interested in helping contribute to the care of these sweet pups, I’m copying the foster family’s information below:

Cost is about $2000 for everything; we are working to try to get the cost down. If you’re able to help with the cost of care, we would greatly appreciate it. Please send any donations to either my wife’s CashApp ($iaiaoh) or my Venmo (). We can do Zelle or PayPal if needed too, just message Ia directly.

Also, these pups will all be up for adoption as soon as they have a clean bill of health. It’d be cool to see them all stay in Coronado where they can see each other every now and then!

UPDATE: Foster home has been found and pups are all in safe hands and on the path to recovery now!

Mom and two young puppies

- Mom is medium sized chihuahua beagle(?) mix

- Puppies appear to be husky mix and around 16 weeks old. Light colored pup is female and dark colored is male.

-These pups are in poor condition from ticks and will need proper treatment

- I believe these puppies are unlikely to do well in shelter evaluations due to their current health status. They need a stable foster or adoptive environment while they recover.

They cannot stay at their current location longer than today. Please let me know asap if you can help!
