It took a few days but some neighbors and I were able to successfully capture a mama dog and her four puppies who had been traveling the streets of Coronado. All five of them were riddled with ticks and mites, and a couple of the puppies were found to have worms.
Two of the puppies were adopted by their finders and, after a few days of uncertainty, we were able to find some amazing neighbors willing to foster the mom and remaining two puppies. Thanks to the generosity of a handful of neighbors, all of the dogs have been bathed and treated for ticks, mites, and worms and are already feeling so much better!
Unfortunately, the male puppy has tested positive for parvo this morning. The testing for that puppy has already maxed out the foster’s CareCredit account. The emergency vet is recommending that both puppies be treated with parvo antibodies and that the mom be tested and treated if necessary, in addition to the fluids/meds the male puppy is needing to feel better.
The estimated cost for all of this is roughly $2000, which none of us are able to cover.
If anyone is interested in helping contribute to the care of these sweet pups, I’m copying the foster family’s information below:

Cost is about $2000 for everything; we are working to try to get the cost down. If you’re able to help with the cost of care, we would greatly appreciate it. Please send any donations to either my wife’s CashApp ($iaiaoh) or my Venmo (). We can do Zelle or PayPal if needed too, just message Ia directly.

Also, these pups will all be up for adoption as soon as they have a clean bill of health. It’d be cool to see them all stay in Coronado where they can see each other every now and then!
