I want to inform all my followers, partners and others it may impact that I am stepping away from training for the time being due to health issues.
I will continue to fulfill my commitments to my current clients but will not be taking on any new work for the time being.

I want to thank everyone who has supported me and worked with me thus far in my business venture.

This is planned to only be temporary as I work with my doctors to get well.
I will let you all know when I am back and ready to continue my mission of helping families and dogs live their best lives.

At this point in my training journey I live in an apartment so I can’t board dogs very often and am selective when I do.
For the next few days I have these two little nuggets.

The blind guy is Comet and his sister is Bubbie. They have honestly been the quietest dogs I’ve ever had in my care. These two are just so mellow and wonderful.

Bubbie likes to follow me around for pets and attention while Comet is a little adventurous, exploring the apartment over and over again. He may run into things but that doesn’t slow him down one bit!

My mission setting out as a dog trainer was to help as many dogs stay in their homes as possible and keep dogs from being euthanized.

Over the past few months I’ve been blessed by being connected to several rescues with the same dream.

Butch is up for adoption through All Tails Matter Rescue. He’s an amazing little Dutch Shepherd mix.

This handsome guy is Sonny. He’s a 1 year old GSD mix.

Sonny is one of the amazing foster dogs I’ve gotten to work with from

He’s a big love bug with lots of energy. We’ve started many things in training including recall, place(go to bed), out and leash manners.

Sonny doesn’t quite understand his size so he needs a home with other large dogs or to be an only dog.

I absolutely love this good boy and he’s going to make some family the perfect addition!

Just got home from a work trip and decided to bring the place cot into the bedroom to get some training in.

We don’t have much space but we made it work.

Spent the entire trip (16 hours round trip) listening to podcasts.

They’ve got some great content for owners and trainers.

Heel into an auto-sit back to heel and then release for free time.

He’s a good boy. We saw some people come out to their car and he sat nicely and waited until I told him “let’s go” instead of being reactive.

Kiba’s training journey hasn’t been perfect. He still has his moments but oh man has he made it a long way!
So proud of this pup of mine.

Knowing your dog’s limits is very important.

Kiba had a vet appointment today and I know that means he needs to wear a muzzle.

Has he ever bitten anyone? No
Does that mean he wouldn’t? No

With a reactive and fear aggressive dog you need to take extra precautions to ensure the safety of those they encounter in certain situations with special equipment and training.
The vets today said he goes back with them fine and receives pets and love. But the second they try to work on him it’s like “wrestling a bull”.

Does this make him a bad dog? No
But he does need special precautions that not all dogs do.

I’d much rather have a dog with a muzzle than a dog with a bite record and one who injures someone.

Advocate for your dog by taking the necessary precautions.
