Just a reminder and some ideas for the impending storm.
♡Your dogs get cold too, dont let your pups out for longer than 10 minutes unless they are a northern breed, and even then they arent used to this so be careful. (If you have a husky good luck! 😂)
♡Use pet friendly rock salt/ice melt as regular ones can cause chemical burns on paw pads.
♡Some dogs refuse to or do not like going to the bathroom on the snow, use an old plank of wood or a tarp and lay it down prior to the snowfall so you can lift/pull it aside for your dog to have a patch of grass to go on.
♡Provide some warm shelter for any outdoor cats you may care for, even a blanket draped over a chair can be a warmer spot for them to hide.
♡We are expecting wind gusts of up to 35mph. Double check and ensure the security of your fencing/gates and be mindful when opening doors to prevent any escapes.
♡Keep a towel at the door and wipe paws when coming back inside, snow and ice can pack into paws and be very uncomfortable and wetness can cause skin issues.
Everyone stay warm and safe!
