Babies in all of the colors!

So far in September we have had:
6 bull calves and 5 heifer calves.

Some updated pics of Floyd because he's so cute!

I find the boys stick closer to their dams than the girls who are off adventuring.

Briar understood the assignment and popped out this polled heifer with a belt and a white face.

She isn't too keen on me getting too close (I need to move them all to a smaller paddock!) so I don't have many pics.

Now she's filled out a bit, I'm suspecting she's chondro positive but it's hard to tell as she's not as chonky as her siblings and cousins!

Colour Surprise! I wasn't sure who Shawty was in calf to, I'm guessing the Belted Galloway bull...

It's been so hard to get pics of this little heifer because Shawty is a hide her calf kinda cow.

Luna was born six weeks before her due date. She couldn't stand and her dam (Cleo) never came into milk, so Luna started life in the bathroom and on the back lawn. She's now graduated to a special pen in the garage at night.

Once her cousins have arrived and her aunties have settled into life with a dependant, she can join the herd for socialization.

Earlier today, we shared that unforgettable video of Loona giving her calf, Alex, a little “tough love.” 😂

So it only feels right to throw it back even further… here’s Loona when she was just a calf! From tiny baby to first-time mama, it’s amazing to see how far she’s come. Life on the farm moves fast, but moments like these remind us how special it is to watch our animals grow up.
