🚨 Xylitol: A Hidden Danger for Dogs

Even small amounts of xylitol (also known as birch sugar) can be life-threatening to dogs, causing hypoglycemia, seizures, liver failure, or even death. This sweetener is lurking in many everyday products like toothpaste, candy, cough drops, and more.

If your dog ingests xylitol, get them to the vet immediately for a glutathione injection to counteract the effects. Remember, prevention is key—keep all products containing xylitol out of reach!

My name is Jen Holroyd, I own and operate a professional boarding and pet sitting business out of my home. I have always had a special place in my heart for Animals. They have been a big part of my life. I’ve volunteered at the AARK Wildlife Center and the SPCA, caring for animals as well as fostering dogs and kittens. Your pet will be treated as part of our family, having potty brakes as often as needed, and ample playtime in our partially shaded, spacious yard. During the summer months our pool is open for opportunities to cool off or to do a few laps under my watchful eye. Most of all, your pup will have companionship and won’t be home alone getting into trouble or sleeping the day away. There is plenty to do here at Happy Pup Play & Stay. Be sure to know that when you pick up you pup he or she will be ready for a nap after a fun filled day at camp.
