Finn had to be completely sedated for the vet previously.
Here we are.. not sedated and not biting anyone!

Finn was here for several reasons.. one being guarding his p**p. His owners would literally be standing with him for over 5 minutes! when out on a walk, waiting for him to stop growling at them and walk away so they could pick up his p**p.
Look at him now!!
Fun fact on how I fixed this… We never even had to directly have that “discussion” regarding not touching or eating his p**p. Over the course of his board and train Finn learned all about compliance. I was able to over time see his eyes soften. Finn relax.
Even now since being back at home, Finn’s owners say he’s a different dog.. in the best way. He seems more happy, relaxed, and even loving ❤️
That’s what it’s all about.
Making life easier for the dog and owner.

Hi everyone!

I’ll be taking a little time to recharge! 🌿🐾

Going forward, I plan to set aside two weeks each year where I’ll be completely out of office—typically one earlier in the year and one later in the year. These planned breaks allow me to come back refreshed and ready to give your dogs the time, energy, and attention they deserve.

My next vacation will be 09/01-09/08.
During this time, all training, daycare, and boarding services will be paused, and responses to messages may be delayed.

I’ll be back to my normal schedule on 09/09 and look forward to seeing everyone when I return! 🤍

Thank you all for allowing me the opportunity to take a little time away and for continuing to trust me with your dogs. 🐾

Boarding dog Wanda got to spend her morning out and about for adventure daycare. We took advantage of the nice weather and visited several parks for lots of trail walks!

New board and train.. Finn!
This first clip all I’m trying to do is get Finn to walk over a wooden board. Finn doesn’t want to. So Finn bites. And this is exactly why Finn is here.
Finn is here for several behavioral challenges. One of them being resource guarding items (even his own p**p) and biting his owner when he simply doesn’t feel like doing something. This has made everyday things like walks, play time and handling difficult.
Finn just turned 2 years old so he’s coming into his own. He’s becoming more serious and less puppy like. And while right now they’re just pressure bites.. he’s been quickly escalating his behaviors the more he realizes his bite works. It makes people stop and makes people listen to him.
Despite all of this, Finn is actually a very sweet and loving guy. Just.. don’t tell him what to do.
We’ll get him back on track 🐶

Healthy play isn’t about stopping dogs from being dogs — it’s about making sure they can regulate and disengage when asked.

These two can wrestle HARD, have fun, and the second they hear “done,” they stop and move on. That’s trust, communication, and training working together.

No walks for almost a year.

After working with six other trainers, Gus’s owners had reached the point where they stopped taking him for walks altogether. Every outing turned into a stressful scavenger hunt—tissues, plastic, cigarette butts, and anything else he could find went straight into his stomach. No thoughts behind it. Straight to swallowing items whole. Walks had become more dangerous than enjoyable.

Now, Gus is wrapping up his final week with me, and I couldn’t be happier with the dog I’m seeing. He’s more relaxed, more confident, and genuinely happier. In his entire stay, he has only attempted to ingest something once.

For some context, when Gus first arrived, he would spot bird droppings on the sidewalk and immediately think they were something worth eating. That’s where we started.

Today, he’s walking through the world with a completely different mindset.

So what changed?

We finally gave Gus what he needed: clear communication and consistent direction in a way he actually understands.

Gus has a bad bad habit of when he doesn’t get attention.. he finds things to injest. Yup. It’s a miracle he hasn’t had a blockage yet.
So this is what a lot of our sessions look like! No obedience. No commands. No micromanaging. Let’s just hang out.
