On Friday we had the honor of teaming up with The Botanical Bus to distribute 200 garden kits to members of our community at Graton Day Labor Center (Centro Laboral de Graton) and La Luz Center. The kits had edible and medicinal plant starts, seeds, soil, fabric pots, printed garden resources, tea, and more! It was beautiful to partner with so many amazing people to engage in mutual aid. Thank you to all who have donated to the relief fund for Oak Ridge Angus and the LaFranchi family who lost everything in the Kincade Fire. This morning Sonoma County Farm Bureau member Barlas Feeds delivered 28 tons of grass alfalfa. These 462 bales will help feed their cattle herd. Sonoma County Farm Bureau Marketing & Communications Manager Brytann Busick rode along to make the delivery and said that she was amazed at the devastation but inspired by the family's resiliency and resolve to rebuild.
