⏰ Last Call for Fourth of July Pet Care

If you are looking for pet care that includes the Fourth of July weekend and/or the first week of July, please know that if you are a new client and have not yet reached out to schedule a meet & greet, I will very likely not be able to accommodate your request for boarding, daycare, or drop-in services.

🔴 At this time, I only have THREE meet & greet appointments remaining BEFORE JULY 1 and those spots are for all services combined. 🔴

I am also nearing capacity for Fourth of July weekend drop-ins. I intentionally keep my weekends as open as possible to spend time with my family and to provide exclusive attention to any dogs that may be boarding with me. Since I provide pet care full-time Monday through Friday, I need a little time to recharge every now and then, too. ❤️

For that reason, I generally do not schedule meet & greets on weekends except for the occasional rare exception, and all weekend drop-ins must conclude before 10:00 AM on Saturdays and Sundays.

⭐️ Established clients: this applies to you, too! If you need a morning drop-in or walk over Fourth of July weekend, please reach out as soon as possible so I can get you on the schedule. Boarding availability is also becoming very limited and will likely be full by the end of this week for the first week of July.

🇺🇸 My weekly recurring clients can keep scrolling. 😉 Your spots are already spoken for and safely tucked away on my calendar. That’s one of the perks of being part of the weekly crew!

I’m officially booking into SEPTEMBER and that feels absolutely wild to say out loud!

It feels like yesterday I was looking at an empty calendar wondering if anyone would trust me with their pets, and now we’re talking about fall schedules before summer is even over.

Thank you to everyone who has booked, shared my posts, recommended me to friends, and trusted me with your pets. You guys have kept me busier and more successful than I EVER imagined, and I’m incredibly grateful for it. 🧡

Now….. excuse me while I try to process the fact that we’re apparently discussing September already. I’m not ready for summer to end!! 😅🍂

We love a good summertime walk around here. Sunshine, a good sniff or two, and a happy pup are pretty hard to beat. 💛

A friendly reminder that Bee There Pet Care is intentionally kept small and personalized. I only accept up to 3 guest dogs at a time so that every dog receives the supervision, structure, enrichment, and individual attention they deserve.

🚩 This is a great example of how NOT to introduce multiple dogs.

All three dogs are on leash, pulling toward each other, barking, and showing high levels of excitement and tension. While some people see this and think, “They just want to play,” what you’re actually looking at is a situation where emotions are already running high before the dogs have even had a chance to interact appropriately.

When dogs are restrained by a leash, they lose the ability to use normal body language and create distance if they’re uncomfortable. The tension from the leash can increase frustration, arousal, and anxiety. Add multiple dogs feeding off each other’s energy, and you’ve created a recipe for conflict. Haven’t heard of “barrier aggression” or “leash aggression?” Look it up.

A dog doesn’t have to be aggressive for a fight to happen. Overexcitement, frustration, fear, or a simple misunderstanding can quickly escalate when dogs are face-to-face in this state.

This is why I prefer calm, structured introductions with plenty of space, loose leashes if done indoors (a pack walk is BEST!) and time for dogs to decompress before meeting. The goal isn’t to force an interaction. it’s to set them up for success.

Just because dogs are trying to get to each other doesn’t mean they should.

Mr. Bee, Trooper, Moose, and I are taking a short vacation and trading dog hair for a few days of fun! ☀️

Messages, booking inquiries, quote requests, carrier pigeons, smoke signals, and “just checking availability” messages will all be returned on Monday.

If you’re reaching out about services, please help me help you by including:

🐾 Dates requested
🐾 Number of pets
🐾 Breed(s) and age(s)
🐾 Whether your dog(s) are spayed/neutered
🐾 Your city/town (for drop-ins and walks)

For boarding and daycare inquiries, please remember that a meet and greet is required, and dates are not held simply because we’ve discussed them. Dates are secured only after a meet and greet is completed and a deposit has been received.

Until then, we’ll be busy making questionable vacation food decisions, taking too many photos, and pretending we don’t have a to-do list waiting for us at home. 😅
