Today we said good bye to one of our absolute most favorite horses. Our condolences go out to Nancy Cline and everyone whose life was touched by “Sophie” aka Stop That Badger. She was one of the first horses I showed in Ranch Riding and she helped me fall in love with it! If I ever needed to show someone how good a fabulous horse could make you feel, I’d call Nancy and ask if they could take her for a spin. Thanks for the excellent rides and the great memories Sophie - enjoy ALL the cookies you can eat in heaven. We’ll miss you. 🦄❤️

We came home from The EMO Celebration completely wiped out. We have less energy than we started with, way less money than we left with and we started the show with Jose, Ron and Melissa at the helm but ultimately came home with just two.

But MAN - we had a good time!

Less energy? Well, two weeks of horse showing in Vegas? We averaged over 20,000 steps a day and got approximately 6 hours of sleep each night (that’s actually pretty good 😉) and brought home a nasty cold. IFYKYK.

Less money? One of the trucks broke down so Ron went shopping and we now have a new ride. 💸

Only two came home? That’s not exactly true. Jose came home a week early to be there for the arrival of his and Rebeca’s beautiful new granddaughter Eliana. 👏🏻💕🐣

We also came home with lots of prizes, FOUR 3 year old baby horses that are much more broke now than they were before we left, a new affinity for St. Honore donuts, successful new rider/horse combo debuts, new class experiences for some veteran owners and tons of fun memories.

We’ll be back Las Vegas! 😂

We a had a great time with The Kofu Family The EMO Celebration in Las Vegas. Stephanie and “Shirley” (we’re talking about Steph’s new mare No One Saw It Coming - NOT her mom Shirlayne 😂) are coming together as a strong new all-around team. It was especially exciting to see Stephanie back in the Hunt Seat Eq where she and Shirley brought home a Circuit Championship!

Shirlayne is trying something new and her young gelding, “Bentley” aka Walla Walla Wise Guy, made a splash in the Ranch Riding pen with Melissa pulling down some great scores and winning some nice prizes.

We are so proud of this brand new team! Brigitte Saks and her new bestie Who Said Im Lazy made their debut at The EMO Celebration in Las Vegas and brought home points in BOTH western pleasure and horsemanship! Thank you so much to Melvin & Elizabeth Yoderfor helping to put this pair together. “Indy” is just what you said he would be and we could not be happier! 🦄💕 This duo is goin’ places!
