Miss Buttercream left a few days ago with Steven. And while Kathy couldn’t make it to the airport, both have been incredibly supportive and caring throughout the whole process. When Connie and Sky had their run-in a few months ago, Steven and Kathy even offered to step in early with their puppy’s payment to ease the pressure of unexpected vet bills. That kind of thoughtfulness stays with you. I’m truly grateful that Miss Buttercream is with a family who values her so deeply, and for the trust and kindness they’ve shown me.

Today we’re so happy to celebrate Chrissy and John as they welcome Bowie, our Mr. Red, from Ella and Onyx’s litter. After saying goodbye to their beloved Springers, including losing one just last year, they’ve shown such patience and love in waiting for just the right puppy. We’re so excited for Bowie to begin this new chapter with such a wonderful family, one that already carries so much Springer love in their hearts.

Miss Peach left for her new home at 10 weeks old. Her new parents are Springer lovers who recently lost their Springer. She’s a smart little gem and such a talker. Even at three weeks old, she was talking back to the dogs on the AKC dog show. She has these human-like eyes and is so intuitive. When you talk to her, she locks eyes like she’s really trying to understand you. She’s truly a special little girl. Wishing them endless love and happy adventures together.

Some decisions are made with both heart and long-term responsibility in mind. From about three weeks of age through her eight-week evaluation, Miss Lavender was the puppy I fully expected to keep. As she matured, she continued to impress me, and I truly believed she would be staying here. As breeders know, the hardest choices often come after weeks of watching, and between her eight and nine week evaluations, it became clear that Jasper was the stronger breeding prospect for the direction I want my program to take. That doesn’t take anything away from Miss Lavender. She’s a beautiful, well-bred, quality girl, but when you can only keep one, you have to make the tough call. My partner and I have always agreed to grow Divine Spaniels responsibly, keeping no more than one English Springer and one English Cocker each year, while also honoring the retirement of older dogs. We hoped a co-ownership opportunity would allow her to contribute to the breed’s future, but since that hasn’t come together, we believe now, at ten weeks old, is the right time for her to find a loving pet home
